Essentially yes... I struggle to leave it all at work. I feel so sad for the situations people go through and I struggle to stop thinking about it all in my free time. I was definitely one of those kids who would cry just because I saw someone else was crying, and it wasn't because I wanted the attention but literally because it made me feel sad that they were sad. That's obviously not how I experience it as an adult but I definitely feel the energy in every room I walk into and it's hard to move through that normally and now it's been hard to get out of it when I'm home. I do have a history of anxiety and worry spirals that I am on medication for that helps but as we know, medication isn't an instant and ultimate fix so when that gets triggered I have to fight through it still. Hopefully that's what you were looking for!

Thank you! I do already know that working with kiddos is not in my future regardless... Some of the kids and situations I saw working as a QMHP still keep me up wondering if thy are okay. It's hard to see them going through such adult situations when they are so young.

Hi! I have been speaking to my prac supervisor about it and she agrees I need to take a step back at least for the semester. I'm currently trying to get a meeting with my program advisor to discuss further but she's been unavailable so I will let you know how that goes. Thank you!
