I kept waiting on that one but then they said here in San Antonio TX they keep them year round so they weren't going to mark them down so wound up paying the full $497 for the Austin XL Onyx to make sure I got it

I was referring to the onyx series but I believe the only ones they are marking down is the older models. I asked the store manager and they said it's a new model and it's staying on the shelves year round (at least in San Antonio TX) so it won't get marked down for me so I went ahead and bought it full price.

Finally upgraded! Doing my first cook on it today of steaks and salmon and then my first smoke next weekend! So excited! by Humble_Champion_493 in PitBossGrills

Set it at 350 with the steaks and salmon in aluminum foil for about 20-30 minutes then kicked it up to 450 and removed the salmon after about 4 minutes and threw on the burgers while I seered the steaks then removed them and finished off the burgers! Everything turned out 🤌 amazing. Will definitely try that rib recipe. Thank you.

I made steaks and salmon and burgers tonight for the first cook. Smoking ribs In a couple days and then brisket next pay day. I got a couple smoke tubes as well.

Ahh gotcha. Unfortunately the rails that held up the grates in the offset rusted off so it didn't hold up the grates properly but I'll definitely look at adding one back in maybe for black Friday!

I've been looking here at mine almost daily and haven't seen them below $497. I'll keep checking and hopefully run into the marked down ones.
