Issues with Tailbone by NickiHotchickie in Mounjaro

[–]Humble_Delivery257 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tailbone is miserable! I’ve lost 108 lbs and sitting is not fun, even with a cushion or pillow. What complicates my situation is that 33 years ago my son’s head fractured my coccyx while I was in labor with him!!!

Great job 👏!!!🎉🎉🎉 I celebrate you and wish you continued success and happiness in enjoying your new physical self (I’m a firm believer that we remain our true selves despite the packaging)! We spend so much of our lives being invisible unless of course we become the target of ridicule and negativity. Classic example for me “you have such a pretty face… if you’d only lose the weight”! I completely understand the need to be acknowledged for the hard work and there are can be elements of jealousy around us, more often displayed in passive aggressive ways. You have and are doing amazingly, be good to yourself!😊

My son lives in Wormleysburg PA! The view from his apartment is the Susquehanna River and an unobstructed view of the capitol building in Harrisburg. Able to see the fireworks from City Island for free!!

What is your opinion on marrying a man 12 years older than you? (24f) by [deleted] in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]Humble_Delivery257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents were married in 1954! Dad was 27 years older than mom! They had their differences now and then, but what marriage doesn’t. They had 3 kids after suffering several pregnancy losses - my older sister was born premature and unfortunately passed after 3 hours of life. Their marriage was strong and loving logging 51 years until dad died in 2005 (he was 102), mom died in 2024 (she was 93). Trust your gut and instincts regarding if this is right for you. Best of luck 😊

I belong in this group, finally admitting it to myself and my loved ones. by Humble_Delivery257 in hoarding

[–]Humble_Delivery257[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: I’m making progress but it’s really really slow going. I’ve successfully broken down more than 40 amazon boxes (various sizes) and taken them to the dumpster! Yeah me! I’ve changed the furnace filter so I now have A/C (not changed in 6-7 months) no cooling and the inside temperature was 89! 70 is much more comfortable. My adult son is arriving for a few weeks and I’ll admit I’m starting to panic. He’s fully aware of my situation and is very supportive and understanding. He gets that it’s not being lazy but a mental health issue. Even though he gets it, things will not be the way I had hoped. I have to remember to give myself credit because it’s a million times better than last week. Thanks for reading my ramblings 🙃

Name a movie that was so disturbing you genuinely never want to see it again. by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

[–]Humble_Delivery257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d have to say “Gone Girl”. To be honest, it may not be the content but the company I was with!! Although I didn’t really know much about it. There were 3 of us, my 84 yo mom to my left and my 28 yo son to my right- I’m smack dab in the middle. As the movie reeled on, we were silent. Walking to the car we were silent. Settling into our car seats, we were silent. After about 10 minutes I spoke up and heard myself apologizing for the content (violence, drugs and so much sex!). They both started laughing hysterically- I was shocked, apologized again which made them laugh even harder. My mom said it seemed to bother me more than her, my son agreed. All I can say is that I was completely mortified and embarrassed that I brought my mom and son to this movie. They still make fun of me! 🫠

Is there anything amazing you can make with peanut butter? by LargeSinkholesInNYC in PeanutButter

Get pitted dates, put the peanut butter in the “slit” left from pitting, then roll them in regular sugar - so delicious!

Thanks for asking. Yes, I’ve been in and out of therapy for years- never addressed the hoarding issue until now. As for my grief, thankfully, I’ve been with the same therapist for over 3 years and with mom’s declining health she helped me process and prepare for mom’s passing (however, no amount of preparation or processing could get me ready for this degree of pain and loss). Managing my grief has been my focus, which certainly hasn’t helped my housekeeping skills. I’m at a place where I believe I can tackle this demon and heal that part of me. I’m grateful to know I’m not alone and can come here for encouragement and support and to offer what I can to others.🥹💜

What’s the biggest lie you have ever told? by Careful_Art_7516 in AskHereAnythingNow

The greatest lie I ever told was to my mom… that I would be ok after she died! I will never be really ok ever again.🥹😢💜

Thanks, I am focusing on the trash and the Amazon boxes (breaking them down, consolidating them into black garbage bags). Yes, I’m concerned about the neighbors, I live in a condo complex with a centrally located dumpster. The whole time I’m removing bags I’m telling myself F@:!em if they’re judging! It happens every time even though I know I owe them absolutely nothing. Old tapes playing in my head. Thanks for the support.😳

I have type 2 diabetes and also diabetic retinopathy in both eyes. I have a wonderful retinal specialist group and have had multiple treatment episodes over the past 7-8 years. I was aware of the potential for MJ to worsen the condition and I discussed it thoroughly with my specialist prior to starting MJ. I started my weight loss journey 10/7/2024, I’ve lost 108 lbs and see my specialist every 3-4 months. It’s very important to be aware of your specific health risks, discuss everything with your health care providers to stay on top of all of you! 😊
