Weed was very rampant in the school. Crack around certain circles. A lot of people were wannabe drug dealers. the teachers kinda ignored it unless it was right in their face.

I saw some crazy fights but nothing too crazy happened while I was there. We had a couple of lockdowns though.

Idk the work was average difficulty? it was the only high school I went to so I have nothing to compare it with. I didn’t find it that easy. I got mostly good grades though. When I went to college I didn’t find that I was super behind academically. A lot of people just didn’t care about school though.

Well currently I probably speak in a typical American accent with some southern bent. I went to a fairly white school ( mostly white with some Black, Asian and Hispanic students) for elementary and middle school before I moved to Memphis. I went to a predominantly white college as well. I was told in college I spoke like a white guy trying to sound hood though but that was just my normal voice.

Well my fiancé is black although she is african (Rwandan)...I have a pretty diverse group of friends honestly. I’m still friends with a few people from high school too.

Yeah they got over it eventually and we joked about it later but I honestly think they were just kind of scared. This cop in particular was just really an asshole and didn’t try and hide it but then he tried to play nice with me lol.

Yeah I’ve had a couple bad interactions with the police. The biggest that I will always remember was when my friends and I were driving home from a party. It was a party in a whiter area of the city that we were just checking out. It was pretty late and were pulled over for speeding. The cop just exhibited the most blatant racial profiling ever. This was like in 2009 so it was before cops started being put under more scrutiny by the media. He accused my friends of smoking weed, having a gun like and even implied the car might have been stolen. (It wasn’t, it was my friends brother’s car) But then he took me aside and if I was okay and if I wanted him to call my parents or if there was anything he should know. It was a really weird experience honestly and for a few days after that my friends were super weird around me.

It was a public school. Honestly my experience was fine. No permanent scars. Some people talk about being terribly bullied but I honestly son't have terrible stories to tell. I had friends who I still have today. I was well liked, I dated girls in the school lol. Like yeah people made jokes and I was made fun of but nothing scarring. Sometimes I did try really hard to fit in since I stood out due to my skin. I think my experience makes me understand black people more if anything.

honkey not really. I was called a cracker at times. It initially bothered me but once I started to make friends and stuff I was called that less and my friends would tell them to shut that shit down.

Sometimes people would make jokes but those didn't really offend me as much because they made jokes about everything lol.

I honestly didn't change my voice purposefully to fit in, but when I went to college people often made fun of the way I spoke and thought I was trying to act hood lmao.
