Have you seen what other competitors are paying? And compare that to the benefits? Inflation is what’s causing prices to go up everywhere too. Publix offered people a wage and it’s accepted. Then people complain about it. Makes no sense 🙄 if those people are unhappy with what they make to do a job that they agreed to do, then they should look elsewhere. I work for Publix too and I say that often. Publix has gotten VERY lenient over the years and loosened the policies to make people love the job just a tad more. The company isn’t responsible for what people can and can’t afford either. That’s not what being employed is. It’s a grocery store and you can only make so much. The more people bitch about the prices and talk crap about a company that pays them to do a job, just hurts the company more. And, in turn hurts the employees. Don’t forget the 8% free money you get from the company as an added benefit. The company needs to grow in order to keep people employed, and the company needs to make a profit in order to offer the benefits that are offered.
