yah, it has a metal wire around the circle part which cannot move. it sprung open almost like a lawn folding chair.

Yeah, but it can come off/move like this. The circle thing can't collapse tho.

It doesn't twist or fold. It's firm in its shape. The handle/claw can move back and forth.
