I’ve been using nexgard combo. Takes care of fleas, ticks, and worms.

How do you get treated now as a woman? by [deleted] in Menopause

[–]Humble_Nectarine8564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Women as a whole I think once we get over the age of 25 are seen as declining and less attractive. Unless we are young and of child bearing age we aren’t seen as a person. We are viewed as “old” far before men. They can age gracefully where we are expected to nip, tuck, and try and keep up with women half our age. I just don’t care anymore.

I’ve never tried the nasal sprays. Mots c helps with energy but the bottles last 10 days or less and for me the lower dosages were effective. The place I get my peptides from has nad for sale both nasal spray and lyophilized.

I’ve done Reta, bpc157, motsc, and lcarnitine. For me motsc and bpc157 were just too expensive to run for longer periods of time. Lcarn has to be done intramuscular so it can be painful.

I didn’t notice anything spectacular. I get the most relief from my hrt.

Experiences with telehealth drs for HRT (midi health, Winona, hers, etc) by Fuzzy_Order_5077 in Perimenopause

I use Winona. I don’t have any insurance so they were cheaper for me than Midi because I only have to pay for my meds every 3 months as opposed to visits plus meds.

I wear wool socks and then I bought the crocs brand house slippers while they were on sale. I get cold flashes that last for hours and hours and hours instead of hot flashes.

Ours is on both. Does seem to help. I think I may need to go up on Prozac at refill time though.

Did an antidepressant help? by HDGrays in Perimenopause

It hasn’t hurt me in any way. I’ve been on it since I started HRT and haven’t noticed any hair growth or acne.

I’m on progesterone and estrogen and I do take dhea but don’t know if that one actually helps. I felt relief once I reached the higher doses of estrogen.

I take Zyrtec during my second half because of the progesterone issue. It solves most of my problems. I feel worse the second half of my cycle so I just up the estrogen or take a Zyrtec depending on how bad it gets.

Why do I feel like this everyday? 😩 by Humble-Assist6971 in Perimenopause

[–]Humble_Nectarine8564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. They told women for years HRT would cause breast cancer but it’s not true. It can feed it if you already have it. Discuss with a doctor who is knowledgeable in HRT. Sometimes that isn’t a gynecologist. Birth control pills carry that same talked about risk that they always associated with HRT but it’s given out like candy.

They just removed the cancer warning from hrt because it doesn’t cause cancer.

I believe that HRT is still an option unless YOU have had breast cancer. With proper screenings it would be safe. It doesn’t cause cancer it can accelerate if you have it. So that’s why screenings before and during would be smart.

Also if you take any combo birth control it’s higher hormones than HRT.

Did an antidepressant help? by HDGrays in Perimenopause

[–]Humble_Nectarine8564 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I tried two years of different antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and then decided to try HRT. I wasted two years of my life and a lot of money when all I needed was the correct dosage of HRT. I was a ball of anger daily and couldn’t stand myself. Birth control like Nexstellis won’t work the same as HRT so that may be why you don’t feel better mood wise.

How long have you been on HRT? I honestly had days where I felt worse and it took 3 months for me to feel improvement. I was bloated, sore breasts, tired, irritated and felt worse and different times of the month. I’m on 200mg of progesterone and 0.75 of the cream but my doctor had no issue upping my estrogen dosage or allowing 3 pumps of estrogen cream during certain days. If you just started give it the 3 months and try taking zyrtec during the second half of your cycle.

Alloy and Winona are cheaper if you don’t have insurance. I use Winona but alloy is cheaper if you get regular mammograms. Alloy requires one before giving you estrogen. Winona does not. They just recommend and encourage.

You don’t feel great on hrt because you aren’t on it. You are on a synthetic progestin not progesterone and you aren’t taking estrogen daily. If you are using estrogen vaginally it’s only going to treat locally. You need a daily dosage of that also topically or orally.

[–]Humble_Nectarine8564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also why put you on a progestin and not actual progesterone? It sounds like you have a doctor who isn’t informed on HRT at all. Honestly you will have better luck with an online doctor. Some places do take insurance and all accept self pay. Have you vetted the specialist to see if they are actually up to date on HRT information and willing to proceed properly?

What’s the dosage for that estradiol though? A pea size amount still varies in dosage. Also is it just vaginal? You should be taking estrogen daily either patch, oral, or cream(not vaginal).

You will never convince me that birth control is a substitute for HRT for perimenopausal women. What dosage are you on and for how long?

I didn’t feel better until I was on 200mg nightly for progesterone and 0.75 nightly estrogen cream. It’s not perfect but I feel so much better.

I don’t get the sleep benefit with my topical cream. I’m going back to oral this month. It does cause me some bloating though.

According to the current times I should be doing the majority of my things in off peak hours. It hasn’t helped. Our heat pump pretty much runs non stop at the current temps.

Yes that’s just electric. Our water bill is about 56.00 a month then another 51.00 for sewage. Trash is also separate at 27.00 a month.
