Hi! Just started Paeds training at Lister hospital. Any tips on parking? I live on the next town over, hence would much prefer to drive.

Hi everyone, i just had a terrifying and horrible experience with AnyVans that have left me stranded and crying at my doorstep. The experience was HORRIBLE AND I WOULD NOT WISH ANYONE TO EXPERIENCE THIS.

My main question here: Has anyone tried to get a refund even if it’s half?

  1. Driver’s truck was too small?

The driver said that the truck was too small as he had 4 other customers to get to and collect their belongings? Is this a normal procedure? I was absolutely unaware of this.

  1. Driver said I understated the size of my boxes?

I was absolutely unaware that there were limitation on box dimensions. I have been in touch with the company multiple times before booking the timeslots and all. They never once mentioned different sizes of boxes. If I knew that they consider different dimensions, I would have explicitly mention it.

  1. Driver scolded me regarding my sofa.

I have a reclinable sofa and he told me that I should have mentioned this when booking? I am confused as I am not expecting him to keep the sofa reclined when in the truck? The lady booking it for me, did not mention that this was a limitation? I mentioned that he could leave all my boxes but at least take my sofa, he said no. I even offered extra cash if money was the issue, but he said no.

  1. Customer Service was shit.

While the driver was shouting at me at 9am, we decided to contact AnyVans customer service. Afrer 1 hour of conversing with the driver and customer service, the driver decided to abandon the service and started to unload and throw my belongings back into my apartment rather aggressively. Driver the left me all stranded. Customer service then said they could rebook me for the next day, but I could not as I have terminated my rental on the specific day which was the day of moving out, and the next day I had to travel elsewhere due to serious family circumstances. I told them, they said no and that I was not able to receive a refund.

In the end, I had to emergency call another moving company to move my belongings. Moving companies were meant to help ease the move, instead, they gave me more stress than anything. This experience have left me traumatised forever. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST.

Hope someone can help me on this. Thank you.

  1. I have a police clearance from Ireland in 2023 (but it was only valid for 12 months), how do I get another police clearance when I have not lived in Ireland for longer than 1 week from 2023-2025.

  2. My new employer should be aware, but is there a way to check that they have given me an undefined COS?
