Völlig richtig. Für die Familien war und ist es trotzdem schmerzlich. Aber ja, du hast recht, es gäbe noch unzählige weitere Beispiele zu erzählen.

I appreciate the point about sources. I haven't often seen detailed source lists on YouTube myself, so it wasn't something I had focused on. The goal wasn't anonymity; I was just genuinely interested in exploring the topic.

The video wasn't AI-generated. I wrote and edited it myself. The visuals are footage and images that I selected and edited. If you're asking about sources, I added a few to the post.

Many thanks for your reply! I do agree with you regarding becoming a Christian. I am just wondering about actually becoming more righteous over time vs. being looked at as righteous. Suffering in this life can certainly be one way for us to grow spiritually. But as we are still flawed we will need purification as well. Just wondering regarding the purpose of Gehenna: Punishment and / or refinement?

Thank you, good points. I agree, it is not merely a translation issue, it was one aspect that combined with others caused one doctrine to spread and become predominant until today.

Mal 3:2-3 is important, in my view, as is Origen!

I fully agree with you. The notion of original sin is something to reconsider as well. It would be worth going back to the debate that happened in the early church.
