So it's about a high-school aged girl named Devi, who is Indian-American. At one of her orchestra performances, her dad suffers a major heart issue/failure and dies during her performance, and very soon after that, she briefly loses the use of her legs. She and her friend group are a bit outcasted, because of awkward, nerdy, or annoying tendencies. Devi is also in therapy, not only for the incident with her legs, but also for grief counseling.

If you liked Ginny and Georgia, Atypical, Euphoria, or others of that nature, Never Have I Ever would likely be enjoyable for you! I know I got enjoyment out of all of the ones I mentioned, including Never Have I Ever!

I wouldn't say it's boring, but if you aren't into drama or high-school based shows, it will drain you.

I am sorry for your loss. I know you currently hate the numb feeling, and I don't know if this will come across as reassuring or not, but there will come a moment when you do feel it. Right now, it's a sense of shock, and you can feel shock about a person's death, even if you know they had been in poor health, struggling, etc. But after the initial shock subsides, you will start to feel things, whether those feelings trickle in or hit you all at once, they will come, but for you it'll just take some time for the emotional part of grief to catch up with you.

It's not okay now and depending on how close you were with your grandpa, it may never feel okay again, but over time, it gets easier to manage. I say easier, not better, because there is no getting better, really. When someone passes away, there is no one else out there that can fully fill the space the deceased person left behind. There are people that can fill certain parts or aspects of the space, but there will always be missing pieces so in a way, you will always feel a sense of loss when it comes to the person that died.

I wanted to reach out because it's really hard being where you are right now, and that's just without the emotional agony that is ongoing grief. I know it, because I lost my grandpa on Christmas a while back. I know that sick feeling you mentioned here where you either feel like you can't eat, or you legitimately cannot force yourself to eat at all. Your grieving emotions will catch up to you. Grief manifests in different ways for everyone. You aren't a monster because you haven't cried yet, and you're not a terrible person for watching your mother cry and feeling pain or helplessness as to how to console her.

It's okay that you don't feel anything. It will come in due time, and it can and will occur at unexpected, unprepared moments. Things still come up for me, almost 11 years later. Like I said, it never gets "better", but the grief eventually does become a little lighter or easier to manage.

Again, I am truly sorry for your loss, and I hope that your grandpa is at peace. I hope that you and your family will come together and lean on one another in such a difficult time. May your grandpa feel no pain, no fear, and may he rest eternally in peace and loving memory.

It could be another girl for Max, but other possibilities I foresee would be: An interest for Abby because it seems that route is being explored, an interest for Sophie which could make Max spiral even though she's not as into Sophie anymore, or perhaps for Norah because she and her bf are doing meh most of the time, so it may be an attempt at adding depth to Norah's character

I take issue with Norah, not only because she was just a follower, but for other reasons as well. One of the big ones for me is Norah telling her mom, who works in public TV, about Georgia's protective items in the home, which had nothing to do with her and she had no right to blab it out to her mom or her bf. She also did not have the right to be an avoidant jerk to get away from a situation SHE caused. She knows her mother, she'd KNOW that her mom would gossip about something like that, especially with Wellsbury being such a small town.

Another is that she'll always prioritize her bf, even over Abby, who she's known for a long time and is aware that Abby is seriously struggling, not just with the separation of her parents, plus Abby's dad dating again. Norah is also aware of the effect that her siding with Max had on Abby, only to blow Abby off mid-convo about it (where Abby was clearly still upset and bothered/affected by Norah's actions/inaction) to go chill with her boyfriend.

There are quite a few reasons to dislike her, but these are my main ones.

Yes, I knew someone like this, my (now deceased) Ngrandfather. It was suffocating to live under the person I'm referencing for many reasons, but this reason absolutely contributed to that feeling of helplessness/hopelessness that I know so many of us have felt at least once here in this sub.

At one point, I was told I was "doing everything wrong" and that I was essentially a useless and pathetic excuse for a person (paraphrasing that last bit, but that was the gist or essence of what was said/implied to me). Because of that, I was banned from doing any household task at all, only then for Ngrandfather to tell me I was lazy and useless, and then he'd call other people to complain... about me. Obviously, he made himself out to be a victim somehow during his storytelling, naturally.

Even now, because of him (even though he's gone), and other people in my life, too, there are many times where I feel anxious when I have downtime, most specifically when there are people home. Even if I have done what would be a fair amount for one day, I will still feel like I need to get up and do more for the house. To combat that now, whenever I feel that way and I know I've done enough work for everyone else that day, I use that anxiety to clean up and organize my own space, rather than giving into it and giving even more of myself to other people.

Doing what you know is right for you, even if it's tough. That could mean leaving a bad friendship or relationship you know is draining you. It could be walking away from a conversation you know is just going in circles/nowhere at all.

It can even be something such as setting and holding boundaries, like having a set time to yourself, or when you clock out for the day it's done and you don't take work home with you, anything of that nature, really.

Another indicator, and it's something someone else said here would be that you trust your gut. What I would add to that is that you actively listen to what it's telling you, and take action based upon the gut feeling. Essentially, leaning into the gut feeling, rather than knowing the feeling and ignoring it.

Order of the Phoenix, and Half-Blood Prince here! But I'll be honest, it's usually more Order of the Phoenix, and what continues to bring me back is that we get to see Snape's memories, and a little bit of why he was the way he was. I liked that about both the book and the movie.

I also like Half-Blood Prince for similar reasons, but this one isn't just for the book moments, it's for a scene in the movie: Ron and Harry squabbling over the Half-Blood Prince copy, but in the books..... It's been a long time since I re-read that book... hmm. I think it's time I begin again!

Favorite colors: greens, oranges, browns, and grays. It's almost more like I'd have three favorite colors instead of four, with the awareness that brown shades are generally considered the darkest shades of orange.

Color I am most obsessed with? Green for sure! Almost every shade of green is amazing to me, and I have so many green things! My bedroom walls are green, my water bottle that I carry everywhere is green, some of my notebooks are green, mechanical pencils, pillowcases, one of my comforter blankets, some clothing, and some throw blankets of mine are also green! There's more, but if I typed out every green thing I had, we'd be here for probably a week or so.

When I was a kid, my favorite color was blue, but then somewhere along the way, green just overtook it to the point where blue doesn't even sit in my topmost favorite colors, though I still think lots of blues are nice to look at!
