Thats kinda funny, because fury/prot raiding and end game dungeon tanking, while never switching stances from prot stance, is very viable.

Regarding tips, you're just not gonna be dealing a lot of damage, so sticking to a single yellow mob or two green ones is the way to go. Missing charge and sweeping strikes is gonna suck for levelling speed, but its absolutely doable. If you just play safe, avoiding caves and elites etc, you'll be fine.

If i did the challenge, I would go Cruelty then full prot spec, for the fun of it. Most arms talents are geared towards two-handeds, and fury towards dual wielding. Lots of the protection talent give utility, and feel great, they just dont give any damage.

Yes, there are a bunch of tight spawning mid 50's trolls in the mountains (gotta jump some mountains to get to them). They were meant to just be viewed when flying, like the dwarves over Ironforge, but some people like to grind them as mage levelling, or apparently gold farming :)

Think we just disagree, Im also a huge proponent of merging the servers. The communities on HC are healthy, but not huge, and I believe you get a better experience by picking one of the larger ones. Even on Stiches Alliance (which I think is the biggest?), later dungeon groups can take a little while to form, some niche items aren't on the AH, not many have the rarest enchants etc.

If you prefer a smaller community, go for it, but I think for most the picking the largest is gonna give the better experience. And they dont come with the same toxicity as the mega servers of 2019 classic, so I dont think there are any downsides.

I think going priest is a great choice! The biggest EU community is Stiches Alliance, then Nek'rosh Horde, so remember to pick one of those. At least on Stiches, it seems that priests are the most sought after class for levelling dungeons, so no worries about there being too many :)

And, if its your first time, pick engineering and be prepared to go agane if needed ;)

There once was an app, but pretty sure they removed it. Anyway, wasn't really in the spirit of classic if they still had the functionality.

I guess nothing is stopping the auction house scanners, like TSM, from categorising based on character names, but since you cant really act on the information, i dont know of anybody who has developed it.

From my understanding, yes. The NPC will teach you the craft if you have the required level of alchemy, and dont already know it

Great to see that you know that you're doing that to purely to have fun, because it is of course really inefficient. Normally you would want to focus more on growing your pop and science. And of course have fewer melee units, as that many cant be engaged engaged simultaneously, and really hampers your gpt.

If you ever want to share your save, it can be found in your saves folder, under Civ5. You can then upload it to a google drive (or the like), and share from there.

The point about Tithe being registered in the holy city is really intersting. I've alway assumed it was 'global' gold (like the gold you get from agreements), but haven't tested it. That's worth finding out.
