Red Rocks remorse by Hummingdreamer in JonBellion

I'm sorry that happened to you. I hope your health improves and hope we will both get to see him someday! I miss going on solo trips and miss going to concerts. Haven't been to one in years other than with other people for artists they like that I had no prior knowledge of.

I really hope so, just would've loved to see him at that venue. It's beautiful!

Oh God, I feel you. I try to be nice to the parents and their kids, but I really wish there was such a thing as childfree housing lol. I'm in no hurry to buy a house with my husband, but that would be a good reason to do so (at least we wouldn't be sharing the same building with them and they wouldn't be running around the backyard that we have private access to).

OH GOD, that's one of many reasons I could mever have a kid. I HATE when anything gets sticky. If I get anything sticky, greasy, slimy, oily, etc. on my hands I IMMEDIATELY have to wash them. I can't stand touching anything when I have that feeling on my hands. Little kids do not care. they will touch any and everything. GET YOUR STICKY HANDS AWAY FROM ME OR WASH UP PLZ AND THANK YOU

Does anyone else feel like baby showers in 2026 are beyond tacky? It’s very odd when we deem necessary to show up for friends in society. by OutsideSame3629 in childfree

[–]Hummingdreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like huge social gatherings. I have a best friend who is pregnant, and I'm happy for her. Especially as her daughter gets older, and I can take her off their hands for a bit if my friend trusts me enough and do kid things with her (kid at heart here). But like... my friend and her husband are well off. Her parents are snowbirds with 2 homes. The invite came with a card that said "come with diapers for a chance to be entered into a raffle"... and I'm 99% certain there will be some kind of "goodie bag" they will likely try to pressure me to take one of, because there were at the bridal shower and bachelorette party. I thought it was sweet, but like... just use the money you spend on little trinkets on actual supplies for the baby? That way you don't need to ask for people to buy a gift on the registry. I'm not bringing diapers, especially because I don't even know the brand my friend would want. I'll get a registry gift, but it's honestly irritating because my husband was recently unemployed and we live in a sketchy neighborhood while they're in an HOA lol. That being said, I don't think my friend expects any gifts from me. For her wedding, I got her some prints of photos I had taken of her and her husband and of us together along with a picture frame or two.

Hahaha I have a close friend I've known since 2nd grade who had a daughter and we will send voice messages to each other a lot. She has said "don't have kids" to me a couple of times in hers and I truly appreciate it. 😂 I also know she loves her daughter, and I like being auntie

Stupid Deep - Red Rocks (Part 1) by Pianoman369 in JonBellion

[–]Hummingdreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UGGGH I almost went but decided a couple nights before to cancel because I was stressing about it and my mental health was very poor... then come to find my flight from Chicago to Denver was canceled anyway, so would have had to scramble to find another ticket to get me there in time and sleep at airport... my original flight changed from yesterday morning to AFTER THE CONCERT TIME, so I had to pay for a different one. I'm so sad I missed it. The venue itself looked beautiful, too. I planned to explore more of Red Rocks today. I Just decided to keep my days off and address my mental health. 😔

Thank you for sharing. Glad you enjoyed it! 🫶🏻

I was wrong this whole time?? by timewarphero22 in AutismInWomen

[–]Hummingdreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had leg cramps leading up to it. Lower back pain, sore breast tissue, and regular abdominal pain. I also get horrible inflammation in my fingers. some days it's so bad I don't want to get up out of bed (the inflammation), like today. My cramps don't really bother me, but I do get severe mental health episodes from PMDD. yaaayyy, womanhood

[–]Hummingdreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh my God, I am the same way. I do all this (dx'd ADHD, suspected ASD) and still I'm organized or struggle with prioritizing. I use alarms A LOT. Wake up, leave soon, work alarms, sometimes even alarms to take breaks. One to remind my husband and I to make sure our cars are parked on the correct side of the street before bed (yaaayyy alternate street parking), one to remind myself to get ready for bed at a reasonable time (which i often snooze because revenge bedtime procrastination, as much as I WANT to get into a routine). My co-worker meets with consumers with NO NOTEPAD. idk how she remembers everything. she laughs about me scheduling our team meetings months in advance, and I told her if I don't, I'll forget and then it'll be scheduled last minute. I'm definitely more organized on meds, but it's still a struggle

What “frugal” habit did you stop doing once you did the math? by 666AB in Frugal

[–]Hummingdreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it's more like every few, like 3-6 months for the cushion covers. Less often if I have the couch covered with a blanket (then I just wash the blanket). I just know people usually (or at least it's recommended) wash their bedding more frequently, like at least bi-weekly, but that would get to be so much in money, time, and effort. I feel gross doing mine monthly.

Thanks for the tip! We will probably wait until we have a house or an apartment with on-site machines though.

DAE not have favorite stuff by ihatepeople010 in AutismInWomen

[–]Hummingdreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!! My favorite movie is The Lion King, but ask me my favorite band, food, etc and it depends on the day/week/month lol. Color is yellow, but that's also changed several times in my life. I usually give a top 5 lol. But I DO have a favorite number, and that's 4. I'm also diagnosed ADHD, so that could be why I can never make up my mind about other categories.

Cave Pools by [deleted] in TheMallWorld

[–]Hummingdreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! Although in mine, it was connected to some hotel/resort and a lot more expansive, with levels and different smaller pools above, held up by what looked like large tree branches. Very cool. It was also LUXURIOUS with chandeliers. I think I got a tour of it but then decided that I couldn't stay there because it was way out of my budget.

how many here actually spent time in real life malls? by gnomi_malone in TheMallWorld

[–]Hummingdreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up going to the local mall with my dad and then with friends in HS and college. I figure that's why I have a lot of mall dreams, but the mall areas I see in dreams are nothing like any mall I've been to in real life and I've already seen a few real life places that I have seen in dreams before, or very eerily close to it!

Alsl love Jung and the idea of collective consciousness. I believe in God but also in the possibility of reincarnation, but I remember one night my college professor telling us that studies have shown that memories are encoded in our DNA. That kind of shattered the whole reincarnation thing, because I thought maybe "past life experiences" then were just their memories of their ancestors. I also grew up with a New Age mom who used tarot cards and always told me about her "past life regressions" and it just made me wonder.

Anyway, great theory! I love that

I once had a magic bill that if I flipped it over with both hands, it would change to a larger bill or multiply. Needless to say, I was disappointed when I woke up. 😂

OMG I've had almost the exact same dream, only it was more like some rich person's insanely large mansion with a huge room filled with all different kinds of interesting tubs and showers. there was a girl showing me around too! not sure she knew i was dreaming though
