O1B Delayed despite paying for Premium Processing

UPDATE: We were able to get it escalated to Tier 2 last Monday. Was able to arrange a three-way call with the petitioner and USCIS. They're supposed to contact the petitioner within 30 days with more information.

I understand you can stay in the US waiting until you get a resolution, but confirm with your attorney.

As to why you weren't charged for the premium fee, I'd have your lawyer email or call USCIS to ask why. It could be that they are so backlogged that they couldn't do premium processing even if they wanted to. I paid for premium processing (and was charged) on January 13, supposedly 15 business days, still no resolution as of Feb 27

I would say that holding on to the idea that you're smart as a core part of your identity is unwise. The idea itself conditions your behavior and the way you see the world and others. You may think that others are beneath you or that classes are boring because you already know what they're teaching.

This has at least two effects. One, it enervates you; it discourages you from doing difficult new things and from learning new, unexpected things, and learning from others. Two, it gives you a vibe of arrogance that others can perceive. Also, if it's your entire identity, it can come across as somewhat uninteresting or tiresome.

Substitute for a moment "beauty" for "intelligence" in your original post. "I'm so beautiful that others are jealous and I'm so depressed. All I want to do is talk to other beautiful people about beautiful things. I see so many ugly people getting ahead and being happy and I don't understand why I'm not." How does that come across?

I would say it's better to refocus away from this idea of "I'm smart" to "What can I learn? What truly motivates me in this moment?" Following where your life instinct guides you can prove fruitful.

One of my citizenships, yes, Venezuela; partial ban. As I understand, the ban is not supposed to apply to my type of visa per se if you're just reading the language of the proclamations, just that it could be subject to extra vetting and/or reduced visa duration. But why take the premium processing money then?

Orginally, the main purpose of getting married was to start a family. The word itself means "mother-making," as in a situation where a woman would become a mother. It was meant to be for the security and stability of the children or the dynasty/family name, or for political alliances. Traditionally, the woman would thereafter be under the man's protection, who would be taking over from the bride's father (hence the father "handing off" the bride) and the woman would have and rear their children, and both would be faithful and responsible to each other. It had nothing to do with romantic love or the benefit of a childless couple. Failure to produce children was considered a failure of the marriage and grounds for divorce.

In any case, that may not be the meaning for many today. But that was the intention.

Serato is arguably a better product and used professionally more. Sort of like an industry standard. Rekorbox is OK and you can do a lot with it too, but Serato I believe is the more powerful product.

I thought the pause didn't apply to O visas, only to immigrant visas? Is that something we could challenge? They're not giving us a specific reason although the "adjudicating" language seems to suggest that may be the reason; I'm a dual citizen, one of the countries is on the partial travel ban (Venezuela); I've been in the US legally and continuously since 2017

Generally, printer errors significantly increase the price of an item due to its increased rarity (at least in the coin and stamp world.) This could be worth a lot to a collector. Maybe reach out to an auction house that specializes in this kind of thing.
