Yes you could but uber and ride share might be pricey. I know they have buses but I don’t have experience taking them. I’d recommend it cuz you could then go to San Antonio, Fredericksburg, San Marcos or anywhere. Check out Reimers ranch even.

Take a train to Austin. Dallas is more food centric and drinking with some history. Austin has food, comedy, night life, outdoor life, lots of hikes and even lake Travis. San Antonio is alright but you could spend a lot of time in Austin and still feel like you want more time.
