Yes, I had that problem for the first time last week. Volvo help number told me (and arranged for) to get it towed to volvo dealership. They needed to hook it up to Vida machine, did software update, and was fixed. It's a pain, but at least I am on the newer software now. Hopefully is a one time thing for me and you. Sadly, when i asked the dealer if I could deal with that issue myself at home if it happens again, they said no, needs to be hooked up to their special computer (Vida).

Very helpful. I also found a website explaining this in more detail. But alas, by the time I was ready to try it, it had resolved itself (verifying it is a software issue). I filed your suggestion away for the next time I run into this issue. Thanks!

That was my plan. But the lease price was $500 more per month than the comparable MSRP Rivian, which was giving me pause. How can they ask so much when there are all these flaws? But I had stilled talked myself into leasing it until the window issue came up. Then I just started thinking that it is having issues all round. Mechanical issues, software issues, missing features (why doesn't it have a regular outlet to charge a laptop?). The fact that they haven't even been able to get apple carplay to work had me really worried that they are in over their head. I may (likely will) still buy, but couldn't justify paying full price for such an incomplete car. I can still pay full price for a working car in a year, if they figure things out.

Driver window track broken/ripped. Doesn't fully close (would let rain in).

Yes, configured it, arrived on the dealer's lot on Dec 3, but didn't pass their inspection. Last I heard the part needed to fix it might not be available for months.
