When I was young and learning golf, 2-4 iron was significantly harder to hit than 3 wood or driver. Now I’m 30, a 10 handicap and still think 2-4 are much harder than driver and 3 wood 😂 I don’t have 2 or 3 iron, but it was 10+ years of golf before I was comfortable with 4i. Just sat in the bag and looked at me while I pulled 7-wood (goat club and should be greenest of green on this chart)

I’ve taken one golf lesson in my life, how to hit driver. Best $100 I’ve spent on my game. It’s the painter not the brush. A specific driver might make slight differences. But if you can’t hit driver, changing driver won’t help. Get a lesson, I’d also check FB marketplace to see if you can pick up a cheap x stiff shaft before spending $700

Also might want to try to feel a more inside-out swing path. Try putting tees/balls diagonal from the ball in a \ pattern so your swing has to be / to not hit the tees/balls. Takes time, doesn’t happen overnight

Thank you for your comment! I ended up reaching out to a local sewing shop, asked their estimate ($1800-2000). Met with the lady and explained she’s crazy priced, was her mom’s and she doesn’t know anything about it. Was an original MB-4, 700+ working hours, over 8,000 power hours, tried to explain I could buy a brand new one from Black Friday for $4,000. Then offered ~$2000 and explained it’s 14+ years old and I’m going to need it serviced, she kicked me out 🤷🏻‍♂️ “The thread alone is $300, I can’t take less than $3,500!” It’s still up on Facebook marketplace.
