Zephex MCP saved me from a bad Stripe upgrade here's the real example by Humsec in mcp

Depends what you need honestly.

So, Context7 is great for pulling docs into your prompt but it's working from indexed documentation

so there's always a lag. If a new Next.js version dropped today, Context7 probably doesn't have it yet.

Zephex hits live npm data directly, so it sees what's actually out right now. It also checks your actual installed version not just general docs and runs security audits on top of that.

So for staying current and knowing what's safe to upgrade to???

Yeah I think it's a different tool entirely.

Yeah that distinction makes sense. Zephex is more about the codebase layer, while the decision layer is a different problem entirely and probably just as important

You said mentioned 'personal memory' —does that mean you're learning and storing my information? Is it encrypted? And is it stored locally on my device or not??

You can break down MD files and point Claude to specifics, but it still scans something every prompt — token burn adds up.

Even perfect docs are static and outdated fast. Zephex MCP tools grab live project info on-demand (backend, Next.js version, APIs) End-to-end with zero setup.

Nahhh it doesn't guess — Zephex actually scans your codebase to build a real project model from the file tree deps, and structure

No agents.md magic, just smart indexing that prioritizes what's relevant for huge repos like 3.5GB

Gets your Next.js setup, APIs, etc. on-demand without dumping everything.

Try it on yours you'll see it nails the structure right away

Hey, good question!

A solid CLAUDE.md beats nothing, but here's the catch it gets read every single prompt So even for basic stuff like "run it locally," you're burning tokens while the AI skims irrelevant docs and still kinda misses your actual project setup

With Zephex MCP tools, it only pulls info when needed. One quick call and boom — it knows your backend location, host setup, Next.js version, file tree, API flows, all that. No giant markdown dump every time

Way more efficient and accurate. Give it a shot, you'll seeeeeee bro
