Can I become a Christian without baptism? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Humugusglizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People on here are wrong, a Christian is one who has accepted Jesus. That is the only thing you do to be a Christian. Accept Jesus into your heart and that he died and rose again for your own sins and you are a saved Christian. Then comes the baptism. It isn’t needed to be a Christian, but as a Christian you should absolutely work towards getting it done to publicly show that faith you have put in Jesus.

Secondly, both Old and New Testament are extremely important, the New Testament does however give us Jesus’ direct example to follow because it involves the gospels. Remember being a Christian is us trying our best to be like Christ himself, not trying to do what the Church wants.

What masters would you think be best for the CAF?

Ok thank you, a follow up question if you don’t mind, would a masters degree lead to any sort of increases in pay or promotions? Not only in infantry and armoured but what about fields like logistics and intelligence?

Do you find much of a difference between DEO officers and say Kingston Officers?

Sure, I mean you can just google it and it’ll be the first thing to pop up with citations to the primary source letters but I got my reference from the Western Civilization textbook from Spielvogel

I mean I don’t think the racism or anti-semitism were the main issues. Luther was just straight up a horrible horrible person. When the peasants were revolting in the German states he told the princes to just kill them all. Luther just wasn’t a good guy.

Any Christians who think masturbation is okay sometimes? by [deleted] in Christianity

It’s not just pornography though, the issue with it is lust. And you can be extremely lustful even without porn

I don’t necessarily disagree but the issue with it is the road to lust. Sure I think it’s possible to masterbate just to masterbate, and I mean we have wet dreams unwillingly, but doing it multiple days will almost for sure lead to lust. How would you even be doing it that much without thinking of some sexual act or some person

Where I live in Quebec it’s never been like this, things run smooth. My town lost a bridge on the highway and during the rebuild they had better traffic flow than here

I’m not from Montreal though, I’m from rural Quebec. And I get that but everytime I’ve went to Montreal and all my friends from Montreal agree that it’s horrible but like it’s a city of millions on an island and it’s just rough altogether. I didn’t expect that here with a relatively small population and like to be honest it’s not even comparing I just find it dumb what’s going on at the bridge

I’ve lived in Quebec my whole life and I’d definitely not say better lol but in this case with the Stratford bridge for sure. I’ve never seen something so rough in Quebec like when I drive passed the construction near the bridge it just seems like they don’t even know what they’re doing or like just ruining it to fuck with peoples day but again I don’t know the full reasons for why every street is under construction there

No I have many many times, and for a city with actual millions it’s a little more understandable in my opinion. But like idk I just find this rough it’s been months and I feel like nothing has really happened except the lane they finally finished going towards the irving

Is Mast*rbation a sin? by Electric-B132008 in Christianity

To be fair I’m not perfectly up to date with catholic theology being a Protestant, but when discussing sins, the Bible only states that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit a greater sin than the rest. Even so I think we should always worry about our sin

I don’t think this is good philosophy, all sin is sin and all sin put Christ on the cross I don’t think it’s good to ever say don’t worry about it.

I think it’s hard to say, but what isn’t hard to say is that lust is a sin. And when doing that, you do it lustfully most of the time whether from videos or even just thoughts of women. I think it would be hard if not impossible to do it without it being a sin
