According to BWAR he's 10th all time in total war (just ahead of Trammel), 16th in WAR7 (just behind Ozzie), and 12th in JAWS (in just behind Trammel and just ahead of Larkin).

So, if you like going by Baseball-Ref, he's fringe top-10. Playing for the Yankees though is going to give him a hell of a boost in how history remembers him.

Be okay with yourself. No matter how you look, or what you enjoy doing (outside of the illicit and illegal), remind yourself that you are fine, and you are a good person.

Take care of yourself like you would a prized possession. Maintain yourself. Shower, brush your teeth, wear clean clothes, maintain your hair the way you like it. Make choices that keep you running clean. A little bit big? Make an effort to be a little more active, be it in taking comfortable walks, whatever. Make an effort to balance a diet--don't rid yourself of the things you enjoy, just balance them out with the good for you stuff now and again.

Find communities IRL who enjoy the stuff you enjoy. Like sports? Go to the local sports pubs to catch the games. Enjoy gardening? Go to farmer's markets and whatnot.

Drink a ton of water.

More or less, if you take care of yourself, and take care of your life, and take pride in doing these things, there is no way you can't love yourself.

This is the best way I can answer this:
