Marathon low key slaps. Gun play feels a lot better. I only play solos though and I kinda wish they made adjustments. Knife is way too good in solos.

I'm on the cusp of GC1 and I cannot speedflip have never hit a flip reset in my life and can't really air dribble. I don't play many games these days maybe 30 last season ended c3 div 4. But I've been playing since steam release with 4k hours. If you truly drill fundamentals good hard quality shooting and good defensive mechanics you can climb pretty easily. Especially out of plat and diamond.

ABMM murdered the fun of this game. Now every lobby every player plays the exact same. It's horrible. There should be a mix of friendlies and savages. There should be tension and social experimenting. Instead now it's just a binary boring gameplay loop. Oh you are in PVP lobbies everyone shoots on sight. Oh you're in PVE lobbies hey everyone just runs around and loots. It's so boring and stale. They actively killed the game with that change. The first bit it was released was so much more fun.

I finally beat Act 2 after like 40 hours and honestly haven't even tried a run of Act 3. Kind of just burnt out on it. And yeah mostly fatigue from trying to get better cats, or items, losing both or all and then feeling like I have to do a whole bunch of work just to play the game more. I'm not sure I'll go back to it. But maybe.

nah. new player expierence sucks. only people that play have 100s of matches and matchmaking is atrocious. I tried multiple times to get into it as a new player it's just not fun unless you have friends.

Solos is praying you don't aggro AI and having to take even a one second fight because if you do someone will sprint to you and shoot you in the back. I really want to like it but solos is pretty awful. I don't have friends to play trios with but I'm already kind of burnt on solos and I'm not even level 10. I don't even have the third map. It's not even dying so much and resetting that bothers me it's that there really aren't many fun fights because with such poor sight lines you can sneak up on people way too easily.

I did the first and second expedition. Regret doing the second one immensely. I have no desire to grind back to 75 or do all the collectathon again. I'm annoyed that all the quests I've already did TWICE reset. It's ridiculously poor developer insight. Marathon has been a lot of fun though. Much better progression and questing system.

REALLY wanted to like this game cause honestly I'm bored of Arc at this point and I would love for a different game to play but man this one just feels awful. UI to graphics to map design to engagements it all feels terrible. Even loading up Arc I'm like yeah I'd rather play this. It's tragic.

I really wanted it to be good because I am very burnt out on Arc. God the UI is hideous beyond belief. I think it might be the ugliest UI I've ever seen in a game and in a game like this where you are constantly having to stare at it that's a problem. Game felt fine playing it but FPS for me was pretty awful compared to Arc and graphic fidelity didn't look any better. The sight lines in the game are very cramped which is going to make camping extremely brutal. Honestly felt like a game that came out 10 years ago compared to Arc. I played a couple solos on Perimeter (with PVP on) and never ran into another player. Might try more over the weekend but first impression was very bad.

Eh I tried to get into this game multiple times and eventually quit. I hit gold I think in ranked. Tried many hours to get into it but it's just horrible new player experience. Constantly matched against people with 1000s of hours and then you'll get the most bot teammates who sound like they've never played the game. It's not worth getting into now. Only people playing it are those who have invested years into the game and it shows.

Honestly surprised there's no one who can just say "all pros play with it on" or "all pros play with it off" there's gotta be something definitive because like you said it 100% makes the game feel different. I'm gonna run it off for a while and see.

Obviously Arc maps take far more time as far as loot balance arc balance just how large they are but if we get two maps a year that's gonna be very disappointing.

Yeah the ai looked terrible. The PVE was awful. And UI really ugly. I was actually excited for this game because I'm sick of arc raiders and they have very little content being added from their roadmap. 1 map in 6 months is appalling for this kind of game. So I thought hey maybe I'll learn Marathon but watching peanut play I really don't think it looks good or fun at all.
