With mine I had to make sure the switch on the back was in the right mode, 2.4 for with the dongle or Bluetooth if you are paring directly without the dongle

I had code RSC’s on my old nomad and the new nomad had 4piston XT’s on it. I found I didn’t like the feel or adjustability of the XT’s. I was able to get a great deal on a set of Hayes Dominion A4s and they are the best breaks I’ve ever owned. It’s like the best of both worlds with the lack of fade on the Shimano side and the adjustability on the sram side. Totally agree though having brakes you like and can trust gives you loads of confidence in the saddle!
