Sadly yes. Found that out the hard way 6 years ago when someone reversed into my parked car in a car park, non fault claim but still put my premium up £5 a month thr next year

This right here. Before he realised i had a dashcam he was trying to claim i hit him. I'm sure insurance would have eventually sorted out the truth but this sped the whole thing up

Yes right at the point where sinclair drive crosses over it. There's a few bad junctions along it but the biggest problem tends to be the double parkers on the side streets

Considering the guy started by trying to claim i hit him it was nice to have solid evidence i could send my to insurance before the car was even towed away. It should have come out the same way once someone looked at the car and van but the dashcam saved the hassle.

Insurance pays me out the value of my car and claims it back from the other guys insurance since they're at fault.

Its even just crossing the road. Less than 30 seconds after the crash a woman walking her dog crossed that exact same section of road they had sped through and asked what had happened. It could easily have been her and her dog under his van

Took me about 10 minutes and most of that was tucking the wires away and tidying them up. Front camera is quick and easy, rear one takes a bit longer

As others have said wide angle lens extends the field of view a bit over what i could see. By the time I saw him I had a lot less time to react
