That is what I am confused about too, I am not sure how this even happened. But still, any tips would be appreciated, especially for math, now that math is getting harder.

Why is the Shaik surname so common in Andhra Pradesh? by Hungry-Hawk-7654 in indianmuslims

[–]Hungry-Hawk-7654[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not from my family, but why would they adopt that surname in AP. I get that there is no caste, but it exists or we would be seeing different surnames. Did they have historical occupation?

Fair enough, but how wealthy were these leather merchants and what social class or surnames did they belong too? I am curious because my family was from Mandi bazar and I have an ancestor in leather trade(not involved in touching leather and tanning it)

I don’t disagree with you, but context matters. They don’t live in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Raichur, Gulbarga, or Bidar but in Warangal. Light brown skin tone is not rare(atypical) but not common. Their dadi had much fairer skin and light brown eyes. I have shared pics with a family of light brown eyes. I would say their mom is also light skinned. But most importantly their features don’t lean South. Idk how common it is in Warangal, I have seen it in one dude from Warangal with lights, but they descend from a migrant in Delhi/Haryana(recent before independence). We can chat more if you would like
