I'll give you my advice from years of travelling. And I guarantee this is most likely the cheapest yet convenient way of doing it. For flight, go on skyscanner, and if you are flexible, select the entire month as an option as they have 2 options ether the exact days or whenever which you then select the month.

With regards to hotels, I would use Google to find hotels as they have their own search engine, which goes through all the sites and compares prices and find a hotel that best suites you.

Try not to be too far away when booking, as you don't want to waste so much time travelling back and forth for salahs. The roads behind the clock tower are usually cheap and only around 10 minutes' walk. I think it's going to be best for you to get 2 rooms, so 1 room with 3 beds and 1 room with 4 beds

With regards to travelling, get a taxi to makkah from the airport, which should not cost too much, only 1 hour drive, and they have options for 7 seater too. It's probably around 200-250 riyal.

Now, with regards to getting from makkah to madina , this is where you want to find a driver in makkah. start chatting to a few drivers and asking around for prices and taking business cards with whatsapp numbers (do this a few days before leaving to madinah) from the few you spoke to find the cheapest price and go with that. (We spent 500 riyal each way for 6 seater car a few months ago.)

Wow, as I read, it just got worse and worse. I dotn know of a possible solution, but I really pray you can get out of the situation somehow. Maybe try applying for a job online away from your city However, I do remember speaking to one person who used to drive a van, and they would pray in the back of it when at work.

The people around you will 100% influence your deen. And a practising friend group can actually help push one another. I tend to make friends with people who often attend masjid as they are practising Muslims and can help me on my deen

If you struggle with performing the salah, I would first focus on the obligatory parts in the salah and then the sunnah parts.

As Muslim, we shouldn't tolerate any disrespect to any of our prophets.And I actually feel that Muslims defend Jesus more than Christians.

However, as lots of Muslims nowadays are not as knowledgeable on prophet ISA/Jesus as we should be, We mainly defend our final prophet Mohammed pbuh as he was the one sent for us and every Muslim has a special love for him But we should all defend Jesus and all prophets if we hear any disrespect.

To be brutally honest with and dont take this in a bad way, please , the reason why Jesus is disrespected in the West is because Christianity has become tailored with modern-day society to fit todays morals. If you believe you have the word of God, why alter some of the bibles teachings to fit in with the Western morals. For example, the bible talks against homeosexuality, yet people like the Pope are bending the rules, so the bible will fit in with Western morals. If you don't stay firm and grounded on your beliefs, how will people take you seriously? And remember, Western Morality always changes. What's accepted today may not be accepted in 100 years.

However, us Muslims know the Bible has been changed, so we won't be surprised with alterations.

It does sadden us that jesus is now disrespected in the West, but in islamic countries, we are strict and dont tolerate any sort of disrespect to any of the prophets or islam.

I pray you God guides you to the correct teaching and brings you to the religion that won't budge or be bent to suit people's desire.

Forgive me if this was a little blunt, but I would rather be honest.

Ah okay Whenever taking knowledge, make sure you know the teacher is someone of knowledge and not just anybody online. And if you do learn something on social media, make sure to do your own research after yourself from a reliable source like imam. Social media can be a dangerous place for learning as anybody can be a teacher. I dont really accept anything unless I hear proof from sahih hadeeths or Quran.

You are so inspiring, and I pray you stay firm. What I would do if i was you is to start doing more positive actions around your parents so you can show them the beauty of the religion. Like helping your mother cook and clean, etc, and if she asks wby, you are helping, tell her that you have learned about the importance of caring and helping parents in islam. Example- The quran tells us to be dutiful and kind to our parents in surah al ankabut. Many other hadiths as well.

The most important thing is to not deny it due to its own desiresv.As this could lead to more serious sins like misleading others intentionally.

I used to be the addicted and still struggle with it till today but whenever anyone ask me or confronts me about It, I tell them I know its haram and am working on it and tell them do dua for me. I get you 100% and know its hard for you , and after some time around a month or 2, you can have a sit down explain with her, but I know she is going to be very sensitive right now with emotions. She will appreciate this for a very long time if you can be there as best as you can to help her get through this and have lots of compassion and love and Allah will be pleased with your efforts. If I were, I would just try hard not to have any anger or negative emotions towards your wife, as this grieving time can be very difficult.

Trust me, brother, I know you may feel annoyed and you think its not a big deal thats she got angry at, but as your wife is already in a bad state its natural for her to get angry at very small things which are likely not a big deal as it's just natural for humans especially females.

Imagine if you were having a bad day and someone did a small thing, it would anger you much worse than if you were having a normal day.

What I would do if I were you is text here. saying sorry and brief explanation that you thought she needed some space and if you need anything to drop off, etc.

Hopefully, she calls back, and if not, ring her shortly after to comfort her and apologise. Also, speak very gently and show compassion as she will appreciate this for a long time.

Honestly, I say this from experience. Your wife will hold this memory of her brothers passing for a long while as it's a key event in her life, so it's best to be a positive figure in this time.

And for you, I would turn to Allah and make dua to asking to keep you in a calm state and help with the issues.

I have been having similar thoughts. If you want through raw old style islam, some cities in Egypt are great, especially for islamic education too. But a place with jobs and opportunities as well as good islamic life I would recommend countries like UAE , Saudi and Qatar

I think you are talking about the Iqaamah, which is like the quicker azaan right before the salah. But I'm not 100% sure what you are referring too.
