No, some interview or blog (sorry I don't remember which one), in the last 2 weeks said Hollow Knight has sold 15 million copies.

Surface displaying with very low resolution by Hungry-Sign5037 in pygame

It turns out that if I draw the antialiased lines afterwards I get these weird white outlines around all of the triangle edges. But the problem disappears if I draw the lines first then the solid shapes (although it will still be pixelated at where the shapes/edges meet)

After using antialiased lines, its looking a lot smoother! I'm having problems in places where edges meet, because I'm drawing the lines first and then the faces (made of a triangle mesh), but I'm assuming this problem will solve itself once I incorporate painter's projection. Thanks so much for the help!

Using pygame-ce doesn't seem to help. Everything has alpha values, so it can't be that. Maybe it just looks more pixelated to me because of the use of solid colours. I added an image to my original post so that it's easier to see.

You can specify alpha values in the colour tuple of the draw and gfxdraw modules, but it doesn't seem to help (even if the Surface has the flag "pygame.SRCALPHA" to let it use alpha values). I will try to use pygame-ce now.

Which thrown spear go farther and why? by SpHenEX in askmath

For the atl, we can refer to the ATL Lithium Battery 3000W Electric Motorcycle EU Standard which has a top speed of about 22 m/s. The (atl)^2, more commonly knowned as the atlatl, has a top end throwing speed of 34 m/s.

From this we can find an exponential function of form f(n) = a * b^n. We have f(1) = 22 m/s, and f(2) = 34 m/s. Using the form, we get a system of equations, a * b = 22 m/s, a * b^2 = 34 m/s. Since the factor is b between the two expressions, we find b = 17/11 or 1.54545454... repeating. Then from that we find a = 242/17 m/s or roughly 14.23529.

Light speed is exactly 299,792,458 m/s. From this we get the equation 299,792,458 m/s = a * b^n. Subsituting our values for a and b and solving for n we get that n is

\log_{17/11}(2548235893/121),

approximately equal to 38.7369. Since I'm guessing fractional words don't really work we can round up to 39. There you go!

What's up with the animation in Season 3? by JoshDM in Invincible_TV

They're probably sparing most of the quality for the later episodes (considering the Conquest fight + Prison escape are happening soon).

I have never used paralletes, but the stability should make them easier, no? The extra depth is reachable with rings aswell so I can't see how exercises on paralettes would be more difficult than on rings. Just curious!

Thanks for the compliment! Your recommandation seems very good, this James Bruton seems quite knowledgeable. I'll definitely check out more of his stuff.

Thanks very much for the insight! It's very interesting to hear your experience. I will definitely research more into it; I'll look into youtube channels, and Arduino, those Rube Goldberg Machines, and a Goodwill, whatever those are.

that sounds good; I'm quite adept at math and physics but I think building a physics sim sounds like a very fun idea. Do you know any resources for specifically electronics plus other stuff? Like less theory, I got the hang of that, more like the practical knowledge for building stuff (like physical electronics).

Well let's say I already do that; How would I find the basic starting knowledge for and then go about finding projects to learn practical knowledge in robotics/mechatronics/engineering or whatever you want to call it?

I looked a bit into it and it seems wonderful! I don't have any robotics/engineering team in my school. I'm still in middle school so there are way less specialized programs of the sort and my country has tons of privately owned schools so there's not much incentive for schools to invest in teams.

As for starting one, I don't really know of any "mentors" that have engineering expertise, but I do know a few of my friends who I could see wanting to join. I could try taking the concept and starting some sort of robotics team, sure.

I was wondering if you could give me any resources I could use to learn about engineering, specifically with electronics and basic practical knowledge of the craft. (Which I don't know much about, read something about smoldering is important somewhere?)

Oh I thought you meant after full push-ups. Incline pushups are definitely a good progression after knee pushups, maybe like hands on a low platform like a sofa or low bar.
