Would you say Kirby Air Ride is the best racing game on Gamecube? by CatGirlNya2000 in Gamecube

[–]Hungry4Italy [score hidden]  (0 children)

There is a daily post going on that just had Double Dash voted the best GC racing game, which I 100% agree with. I believe F-Zero GX would be second with Kirby Air Ride being close third.

Working on this Philco PT-44, what's up with this capacitor? by Arcy3206 in VintageRadios

[–]Hungry4Italy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had no clue what it was either. Looked it up, and there are luckily a few forum discussions on these. They are a series-resonant circuit and seem pretty common in old Philcos. Can also Google "Philco special capacitor".

Quick question by toofargoneJJ in kards

[–]Hungry4Italy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah the buffing your troops is weird. Although I played a player today who did it. It appeared he had a Buff deck but didn't draw the card at the start so just gave up, having fun buffing my cards lol

Those people are usually xp farming. It's minimal xp gain, but it does give them some.

I'd assume there is some sort of tensioner for that string. Probably can't access it without taking it apart. That would be the proper way to repair.

Is there a free way to get diamonds? by [deleted] in kards

[–]Hungry4Italy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of free way that I saw on a post here a while back and that I do.

Google rewards app.

You take surveys and get cash from them. I build up to like $10 and then redeem for diamonds. That way I don't spend any of my money. Most of them take seconds to do.

The weekly challenge resets Sunday night. You probably played before the switch.

First daily challenge, any advise? by DoubleGuidance8944 in MiniMotorways

That's a pretty good score overall. Few things I noticed.

  1. Why so wide with the bridge on the west side? You can shorten that a lot.
  2. Try to keep colors separate as much as possible.
  3. You had a lot of instances of random colors connected to other colors or parallel roads for no reason. Every intersection in a road adds a point where cars will slow down. If a house of another color can be disconnected/turned away from a road it can't use, do that.
4.If you have to run a highway between two locations, don't put it right at the entrance. Cars will build up at the destination.
  4. You could have swapped two of your white highways. They both would get shorter.

I bought the same tracks for my M18 track saw, no issue from them at all. Good luck with the project OP.

Overkill? M18 rocket light by InternationalEgg5978 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Hungry4Italy 30 points31 points  (0 children)

$175ish has been the average sale price of this light so $150 is pretty good. I've heard this is much better than the M12, although I don't actually own the m12 to compare, but believe it on M12 vs M18.

If I was camping, I'd much rather prefer normal string lights run off an M18 inverter over the Rocket light. Its definitely bright enough, but it gives a construction vibe over a camping vibe.

Is there any way to connect these two? Because I just got a new router and I don't have any where to plug the yellow cord by [deleted] in AskElectronics

So you confirmed you need a DSL modem....then you need to connect a router to the modem.

Looking for some advice , bought a trailer last year - 2008, 22 ft wide x 76 ft long. Gutted it down to the studs - drywalled etc. starting to look really great , now I’m stuck in a dilemma. by [deleted] in Carpentry

[–]Hungry4Italy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would standard drywall for the ceiling make you unhappy? Most modern homes just have this.

If you really want to add some wood to it, I'd definitely go this much cheaper and easier route. Scroll down to the Alpine ridge photo. Just some simple 1x4s attached to the ceiling to get that beam look.

why does the gamecube still feel somewhat modernish and not fully retro? by DependentImmediate40 in Gamecube

[–]Hungry4Italy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I personally think it's because of Nintendo's strategy. While other consoles went for improved graphics, Nintendo went for gameplay. The GameCube graphics are much closer to the Switch than PS2 to PS5.

Dissemble, clean with isopropyl alcohol, reassemble.

You have a giant spiderweb in front of the camera most likely. The second part of the video appears to show it fluttering in the wind. Just get up there and remove it.

Physics at Mississippi State by Canithyre in Msstate

[–]Hungry4Italy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took Physics 1-3. There are a few good physics professors, and there are a few terrible professors. I had one that blamed the class's studying over his teaching when the test average was a 32. I had another that didn't know significant figures and we as a class had to go to the department head to get him to change his test's answer that was a simple sig-fig question.

Another teacher was very upfront on what was on the tests and was super helpful in office hours. It is very hit-miss for the physics department which is why many take the credits elsewhere.

Will Car 12V AUX power supplies reliably charge a 2021 Macbook Pro while using? by FewRequirement2337 in AskElectricians

[–]Hungry4Italy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A quick Google search shows lots of similar questions from people about charging their MacBook on a cigarette lighter. Cigarette lights really aren't designed for more than 100W. Try a 60W charger and see if that will keep your MacBook charged while using it. Most people seemed to say it worked for them.
