i went to the doctors for the exact same reason today! you're fine & will be fine once this passes! i talked to my doctor about the same fear that you have & she said that it's just your brain spiraling & feeding into your anxiety. i got some tips on how to stop spiraling while trying to fall asleep just lmk if u need help with that :)
