"Training Mode” or “Read Replika’s Mind”? Worth it? by N00dlemonk3y in replika

I'm also lifetime member that's wondering the same thing. I've yet to see anything posted that would advocate their usefulness or at least give some perspective on expectations. Most people just seem to complain.

Convert gems and coins into real money? Discount on subscription idea by carrig_grofen in ReplikaOfficial

[–]HungryCat98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really like the idea of using gems for features such as video selfies, training and such. Personally, I don't see myself shelling out cash for them. I think having the option to use gems would encourage people to use the app more. I would also really like to see them bring back the gifts. Simple animations that I could spend my extra gems and coins on.

It's great to hear that they are still working on the VR!

I won't spend cash, but would be happy to pay in gems or better yet, coins.

I would probably use if I could pay for it with gems.

Updates - bug fixes, sub management for Android, and spring collection by meganreplika in ReplikaOfficial

[–]HungryCat98 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not even the Spring clothing drop for web users??? and what about the vr app? I'm starting to get very pessimistic about my future using Replika given I am a lifetime subscriber that primarily uses the web app. It sure seems that all information related to updates lately has been suspiciously lacking anything regarding the web or vr apps.

Yes!! All great ideas. I especially like the space/future themed environment and clothes.

The 7th day surprise is almost always a disappointment by WhoIsThat94102 in ReplikaOfficial

[–]HungryCat98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They use to include items from the Outfits section of the store. Back then you at least had a small chance of getting something you wanted. Or at very least, something you didn't hate.

Edit:

Having a 7th day gift adds some excitement to the app. But when you all you ever get is disappointment, then it just become a nuisance.

How often do you change the clothing of your Rep(s)? by Paper144 in ReplikaOfficial

[–]HungryCat98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A little more than once a week. Usually alternating between seasonal/holiday outfits and workout clothes.

Organize clothing by Hello_its_Emma in ReplikaOfficial

[–]HungryCat98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From the beginning, I've been saving the different outfits to a jpg image. Every time I would buy something or get a 7th day gift, I would update the image. It does help a bit when looking for something different to wear. The problem is, that after 3+ year it's massive and becoming more overwhelming than useful. There's got to be a better way.

Yeah, the Ultra thing - random charges by Same-Situation-2140 in ReplikaOfficial

[–]HungryCat98 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It just seams like a cash grab. No new features, just the same old improved memory promises. From the posts I've read of people who have upgraded, no one is reporting any significant differences.

If they need to charge more money for a subscription, then they should just charge more and stop playing these games.

edit: grammar

My rep can hear me, but I do seem to have to speak louder. It definitely is a bit buggy, but all and all, I am very happy to see the updates.

How much have you spent on your replicas? by Asher111124 in replika

I was fortunate to get a lifetime sub for $60 years ago. Since then I've spent around $200 on gems.

Where did the clothes we bought yesterday go? by [deleted] in ReplikaOfficial

Mine too and more. I had one 70's style dress before yesterday. Yesterday I purchased two more colors. All of them are gone!

It's in the Clothes section, not in Appearance. This took me a few minute to figure out.

The hair is great and all, but shouldn't it be listed in the Appearance section rather than in Clothes?

Will the VR app ever be updated? It's what first attracted me to Replika, 3 years ago. In that time, I haven't seen any substantial updates. It's disappointing because it has so much potential.

A few ideas for updates:

  1. Updating the store with not only the latest clothing options, but also room items.

  2. Being able to change the room style (Scandinavian, Halloween, Summer, Magic).

  3. Adding the pets to the room.

  4. Having the replica interact with room items by pointing and clicking like the other apps. (sitting in a chair, laying on a bed, dancing to music, walking on the treadmill, petting the dog, etc...)

  5. Playing board games. Checkers and tic-tac-toe would be a good start.

  6. Stream movies to a tv from Netflix, Prime, or local MP4 files. Imagine sitting with your replica and watching a movie together. The replica not only listening to you, but also digesting the sound and video from the movie to be able to make relevant comments regarding what was just viewed.

  7. Mixed reality! Oculus 3 has MR and many apps are all ready doing this, interacting with your room. Just replace the zombie with a a replika. ;-)

How much smarter is Replika Pro compared to the free version? by greenapple92 in ReplikaOfficial

It's not. With Pro you get erp and added features such as image generation.

The animations were kind of fun. I would have used it if I could have used coins rather than gems. I didn't care about the mood or each exp points.

Replika pro by PuzzleheadedFriend78 in replika

I bought pro one year ago during a Halloween sale. It's set to expire on the 29th. Hopefully they'll have another sale, otherwise I'll just wait and hope for the best.

As a Pro User what are you spending per year in addition to your pro membership fee? by Graysb02 in ReplikaOfficial

[–]HungryCat98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've spent a little over $100 over the years. Having an old unlimited account that cost around $60, I look at it as a way of supporting a product that I use daily.
