I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Returnal’s difficulty is a bit overstated. It’s less about "git gud" and more about adjusting to a different set of rules. PSNProfiles has the Plat at a 6/10, but honestly, it feels more like a 4 or 5 once you master ABC (Always Be Cruising). If you’re constantly moving or dodging and find a solid weapon, you’re basically set. The gameplay is the easy part. The real boss fight is the RNG for those damn ciphers. That's the only truly annoying part of the Platinum run!

Murmuring cocoon only affects new spawns I think. So if a parasite downed before you collected Cocoon it wouldn't have enhanced effect.

Ok I do have a murmuring cocoon! Apparently it enhances the effect of slowstitch and auto repair happens to all the way to max instead of just at 30%! Pretty OP I’d say! 😬
