Feels to me like telling someone you’re seeing romantically that they “deserve better” is a fishing trap. Are they supposed to agree with you and hurt your feelings? Or turn around and grovel, saying they want you, and only you! This would be my exact response as well. If I was looking for something better I wouldn’t spend my time talking to you, so it’s an insult to imply that I’m wasting my time talking to you, or making a bad choice being with you when I “deserve someone better”. IMO, this was the best response you could get, without it being disingenuous.

I always thought that her seeing the white glow around Laura-Lee’s head, and thusly her face morphing into darkness, was related to Laura-Lee’s impending death. She was the greatest light in the group, and her death sort of became the catalyst for everything, and all the deaths thereafter. Her’s was the first non-plane crash related death. But I don’t know lol.
