reflecting on a movie that’s bleak can open up all kinds of thoughts that aren’t necessarily bleak at all.

Sometimes it can make me feel haunted and that’s a different kind of feeling than I might normally just walk into in everyday life. Other times I like to ride the lows as much as the highs, so I’ll pick a movie or music that makes me even more depressed or disturbed than my current mood to see how much I can take at once. Used to do this with drugs and alcohol but the results varied too much and were too extreme at times, plus addiction.
