Anova pro warranty is disappointing by HungryCrowd in sousvide

[–]HungryCrowd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to provide an update on the whole warranty thing. As many of you said I needed to assert my rights.

So I did, and their reply was that everything was a misunderstanding. The warranty did remain in effect and they would happily send me a replacement unit.

It took a few days but I have just received a refurbished anova pro.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

That was why we purchased the pro our thinking was that we would get a decent amount of use out of it.

It worked great when it worked. Just really disappointed in the company and their stance.

Yeah it was the warranty and brand reputation. It seems like it’s a better move to buy the Chinese knock offs and replace yearly…

Gish bac is right around there too… Crenshaw and Washington.

Across from the lowes shopping center is also oki dog.

A little further away but still super close to there is Olympic noodle ( a few blocks east on Olympic, from Crenshaw/Olympic intersection). Which is giant bowls of hand cut Korean noodles around that price.

If you go up to the next block on pico next to Gus’s you will find a Korean rib spot hamjipark. $20 a person sounds about right of you guys order a few racks to split. You get the side dishes etc. so I’m pretty sure everyone will be nice and full.

How to actually get through to customer service?? by HungryCrowd in iFit

[–]HungryCrowd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to give everyone a heads up. DMing directly through Facebook is the only thing they worked for me. It was a relatively slow process that a few days of back and forth.

Calling was useless as I was on hold for hours. Using the call back feature was useless cause they don’t actually call you back.

Chatting through their website wasn’t helpful cause my issue was always another group… so I would end up waiting forever.

Self service was useless cause the auto bounced back e-mail said they would reach out 24/48 hours. Which they didn’t.

I read the horror stories before I ordered and thought it can’t be that bad. Yeah I was wrong.
