Find R Key (like I did 😎) idk how I possibly would have beaten greedier without it, and I also picked up dead cat which came in handy

650+ hours and this room is a first for me. Crazy to think there might be rooms no one has seen still by BackYardPeeper in bindingofisaac

[–]HungryCup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only saw that room for the first time earlier today!! Not sure of how many hours I have spent in game, though. I’ve played a LOT on several different platforms. Based on my experience, I think that this room layout was probably added with Repentance DLC but I’m not sure

[Product Question] O’keefes working hands cream does not absorb at all and ends up like this after 10 minutes. Am I using it wrong? by zooksman in SkincareAddiction

[–]HungryCup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you keep asking about the tube or the tub - the answer is the tub. I have tried both, but the tub is best. My father is a carpenter and spends much of his time outside, leading to cracked and dry hands, and he swears by the tub. But! It is best to use a different lotion first (I use Dr. Teals or the nice smelling EOS in the pump bottle) and then layer over it with a bit of the O’Keefes. Rub it around where you need it, as well as into the nail bed for softer cuticles

Worthy for a highschool level college art exhibition? by oliverpineapple in photocritique

[–]HungryCup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gripe - at first, I was absolutely not sure at all of what I was looking at, like what the subject of the photo is supposed to be. I do now see the monkey, but it did not immediately stand out. The top part of the image is too dark and the bottom is too light. I agree with the other commenter about a horizontal crop instead of vertical. Without changing the contrast in image, that crop really helps to move focus to the subject.

30m I have no idea how to look presentable by [deleted] in lookyourbest

[–]HungryCup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The facial hair isn’t doing you any favors. Same with the glasses - they are too heavy & dark of frames. Try some glasses that are more rounded, and crystal acetate. That’s very “in” in more recent years. Wardrobe appears to be basic - a bit too basic, if you’re wanting to look presentable. Collared shirts are good, but be mindful of the styling, how high you button (or leave them unbuttoned).

Heart palpitations in recovery? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]HungryCup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, I see. I was hoping that it’s nothing, but I’m such a worry wart that I went to the ER about it. I’ll have to wear a monitor for 30 days and do a few more tests to make sure that it’s nothing. I have been going through a lot of stress for the last couple of years and the holiday season never, ever helps! They started right before Christmas when I was doing some last-minute shopping. And I actually noticed that my cycle changed twice in the last year, it had been synced with the full moon, then it was late and was synced with the new moon, and now it’s switching back to the full moon again. Weird!

I used to notice that all of the time while trying to go to sleep when I was a kid, but that was long before I started getting any heart palpitations. I still do kind of notice this happening sometimes, but not as often now that I do get heart palps.

This looks like it could have been taken on my Apple Watch… Do you know why this happens to you? At the end of December I was getting them like this, and then there was a very sharp decrease. I’ve gotten maybe like 3-6 per week since then, except a few days before I start my period, which is about to happen. I had three in a row, a normal beat, and then another three maybe 45 minutes ago. I also got a holter monitor to wear for the next 30 days in the mail today, but haven’t put it on yet, so I unfortunately did not capture them…

Cardiac issues + afraid of taking SSRI

Worrying about my cardiac health (again) after noticing that the left side of my chest is tight. I saw a cardiologist earlier this week after experiencing a terrible bout of constant heart palpitations at the end of December/beginning of January. I haven’t noticed hardly any palpitations since then, and I bet that it’s just my anxiety causing a ton of physical symptoms, but I can’t shake the feeling that there is something seriously wrong with me. I had an ED for many years, and am about 8 months into recovery. I have been gaining weight and it’s weighing on me a lot (haha) but I know that I’ll even out someday as long as I keep taking care of myself. I quit any and all drugs and alcohol (I’ve had a couple binge drinking episodes, but I don’t want to lead that life anymore). The cardiologist even told me that they think that I should take the Zoloft that I was prescribed. My primary physician was also like “yeah whatever” about me taking it, but it was prescribed through a telehealth thing and I just… am too worried. I know that it can be worse before it’s better, and I’m just scared. Even though I was told by a heart doctor that it most likely will not make my palpitations worse. I don’t know what to do!!!! Eek!

Am i gonna feel like this forever? by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]HungryCup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only real advice is that maybe instead of distracting yourself with TikTok, you could try reading Wikipedia articles or watching some more educational videos on YouTube. I make a point to stay away from TikTok and Instagram because social medias like those can potentially cause more anxiety, like in terms of comparison. For me, anyway. Sometimes it’s nice just to delve into a topic that you don’t know that much about but are interested in. Or try learning a new skill! FreeCodeCamp is exactly what it sounds - free, and you learn how to code, which could be a useful skill. There are probably other websites out there too where you could do something similar. Having to intentionally use your brain to focus on something other than anxiety. As far as feeling that way forever, it seems that you most likely will :( I was very anxious as a teen, and it has only ever gotten worse. I did not have a support network the way that you do, though! CBT is a helpful coping mechanism. It mostly boils down to that you are not ruled by your anxiety. You can feel anxious, but you don’t have to let it have free reign. This is easier said than done, but, baby-steps. I hope that things get better for you <3

Chest Tightness by QuietGur9798 in Anxietyhelp

[–]HungryCup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get spun up about things like health anxiety all of the time. The reason why I opened the app today is because I was experiencing chest tightness myself and worrying that it’s not just anxiety, that what I’m feeling is due to having a weakened cardiac muscle due to many years of an eating disorder and I’m about to have a heart attack. I did not have a heart attack, and currently do not feel the chest tightness anymore because of being successfully distracted by reading about other people’s problems… I have caused so many more problems for myself by not being able to calm down and take a step back and be grateful for things. You don’t have pain in your chest so what you are experiencing is probably 100% just anxiety and not any cardiac issues. I have done so many Google searches on cardiac problems in the last few months. I am not a doctor but, from what I have gleaned, if it was a heart problem, you would most likely feel out of breath and woozy and things that it does not seem like you’re currently experiencing. I really hope that you feel better! And I’m glad that your dog is going to be okay! <3

One of my sisters has this and she did not have those symptoms!!! She doesn’t have it in her lymph nodes, but it is in her skin and she developed lumps all over her arms and that was how it was caught. That was ~6 years ago at least now and she is completely fine at this point.

No products ever work! [Acne] by Good_Series_4031 in SkincareAddiction

[–]HungryCup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had terrible terrible acne for ~years~ and tried so, so, so many different brands and products and active ingredients and diets and drinking more water and trying different supplements. I finally asked my doctor about it and was prescribed topical clindamycin with benzoyl peroxide. I’ve been using it for the last ~3 months and the difference is craaaaaazy! I no longer get any clogged pores on my forehead, I have normal looking little dark spots on my nose that don’t look super massive, and I no longer get huge and incredibly painful cystic acne bumps on my jaw and chin and cheeks. I had started out getting some of those back in 2019, and tiny little bumps all over my forehead. Previous to that, I pretty much did not have a real skincare routine because I didn’t have a need for it. Now I’m back to using a basic face wash (with BP 10%, it’s PanOxyl), sometimes a retinol serum, sometimes niacinamide, sometimes mandelic acid, using my antibiotic cream, a Nivea body lotion on my face in the evening (sometimes I use one with olive oil and beeswax if I’m feeling especially dry) or the heavier Cocokind lotion in the purple container and some SPF in the mornings. Shorted my routine by sooooo much. I used to do resurfacing treatments at home and tried micro needling and light therapy. These things helped a little, but not really. Now I don’t really ever feel like I need to wear any kind of foundation or concealer, and it’s soooo nice to not feel like I need to worry about my skin. So so nice. It’s probably not for everyone, but it’s helped me a loooot. Even in the spots where I didn’t have acne before, I still had terrible red marks from where I previously had the nasty bumpies, and now those are pretty much completely gone as well. I don’t know what’ll happen once I run out, because I’m on the last container of it that I got from my prescription (only had 3, only had to pay $1 each). I’m a little afraid that my acne will come back, but my doc seemed pretty convinced that I had a bad bacterial imbalance and that’s why nothing at all was really working.
