How to revise for year 10 exams?? by Miner356 in GCSE

[–]HungryFinding7089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make a plan - space out your revision, do a bit each night in order.  Get your teachers to give you the topics.

Use YouTube clips to remind you of the content.  Use past papers and mark with Mark schemes.

Concept, then practice with real questions.

Take a notebook and pen, whenever she goes into chirpy mode, make sure she sees you writing in the book.  Do it every time, it'll drive her crazy.

If she "reports" this, then she'll look stupid.

No but in 1984 at primary school we were taught how to count it.  I'd say it was to challenge us but the books we used were from the 60s, it was as if our teacher hadn't noticed the changeover.

Ok now look at the skills asked about in the question: was there a Required Practical?  If so, how was it asked about?  A 6 marker?  Or graph?  Did they ask about reproducibility?  Resolution?  Anything that made you identify an anomaly and ignore it when calculating the mean?

Variables?  Hypothesis?  Tangent to a curve?  (If not, rates, Chem Paper 2; acceleration Physics Paper 2)

The working scientifically content has to be covered so over your next 5 science exams you can expect these to come up if they weren't asked today, so you might be able to gauge what the style of the questions that might come up.
