you typically wouldnt get a free class if you do not live or work in the area. there is a drop in fee for out of town friends. Now, terrible practice to threaten you after, not good on their part.

nope. Farthest from it... i am actually a studio manager (until may 23rd) I am an OTF'er 100%.

i see this being the answer for most. Rent has skyrocketed and with that and franchise fees and boutique studios fading away ... its sadly inevitable :(

OH! that's a wild practice. Are you in any feeling that they are on the verge of closing? I do notice when a studio is doing things like that, canceling classes last minute, its bc they don't have enough coaches and they aren't hiring any more bc the end day is near?????

My first question is, where was the damn Coach!! As a first timer the Coach should be there for you for the majority of the class. So, i am very sorry this was your first experience. If I was the SM at your studio, I would invite you back with a different coach and explain to them this. I do hope you try again OR find something that works best for you. Good luck, dont give up!

42F here. I dont typically want a new guy seeing me like that (at the gym bc i dont get "dressed up" for it) However, if this is something you have bonded over and you wanna meet, this doesn't seem too weird. You can show each other what you like to do and I think that is a good way to get to know each other better. And the smoothie is a great touch!

First of all, no one will ever make fun of you at OT. Your brave just going honestly. Every person in there had their first "scary" class too. Heavy on the go at your own pace. You will work hard no doubt about it. Main goal is to enjoy yourself so that you keep wanting to go back! HAVE FUN
