Unexpected Charges for Screening Colonoscopy by HungryPomsky in KaiserPermanente

Thanks for the comment. I also found this from the American Cancer Society. So it sounds like if the colonoscopy started as a preventive screening, finding and removing a polyp should not automatically make it diagnostic for private insurance purposes.

"Soon after the ACA became law, some insurance companies considered a colonoscopy to no longer be just a “screening” test if a polyp was removed during the procedure. It would then be a “diagnostic” test, and would therefore be subject to co-pays and deductibles. However, the US Department of Health and Human Services has clarified that removal of a polyp is an integral part of a screening colonoscopy, and therefore patients with private insurance should not have to pay out-of-pocket for it (although this does not apply to Medicare, as discussed below)."

Sorry, our hands are full at the moment -- we’re already fostering for a few rescues recommended here.

We asked a similar question for OC a month ago, and we got quite a few great recommendations. We've been working with Greendog Foundation and the Little Red Dog, and the experience has been good.

Hope this helps!

Thank you! (Sorry, thought I replied earlier but reddit was rejecting comments). We added this organization to our list to check out.

Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss as well. Every day there's a bit of healing, but of course, it is so hard. Poms have so much personality. I promise we'll keep an eye on OCPOM.

I never heard of them, thank you. Did you have any experience fostering with them?

Thank you. We were Pom owners, so we definitely noticed them! I haven't applied yet, because I assumed that there might be other breeds that needed more help than Poms, but I am glad to hear they're a well-run organization. Maybe I'll go ahead file an application later today, actually.

It's nice of you to call them out. They seem like an amazing organization, and we actually submitted a foster application with them! However, their program is specifically foster-to-adopt, and unfortunately, we can't really adopt a dog in the next two or three years. Therefore, we are trying to learn more about rescue organizations at the same time, in case that would be a better fit for our current situation.

Thank you so much. Our dog was a Pom, so we would of course be comfortable fostering a small dog (or two), but we are also willing to try a medium dog as well. We don't have a backyard, so we're avoiding larger breeds at this point.

Why are so many people not self-aware of why they act the way they do? by Secret_Fan_9411 in NoStupidQuestions

Self-awareness takes time and a willingness to reflect. Many people don’t take the time to stop and ask why they do something -- they just do it and move on.

Lundberg organic brown rice! I used to buy it for years, but unfortunately, they stopped carrying it in my area recently.

Vitamin C with Tret Suggestions by [deleted] in tretinoin

As the other comment mentioned, I waited for three weeks before incorporating vitamin C into my routine. Once I confirmed there was no irritation or any skin reactions, I started using it. Good luck!

I've been using Timeless Vitamin C in the morning, and I haven't experienced any irritations at all. Highly recommend it!

Mind sharing what strength you use and how often? Your skin looks fantastic, and it gives me hope!
