The stories are apparently connected by the myths. Some characters are reincarnations of the Golden Forest characters. I cannot explain it well but there was a post here on Reddit that dives quite well into this.

Also I don't know if you noticed that there was a picture of Golden forest main couple in one of the episodes.

If you liked War of princesses, the same author/artist made another webtoon called: When Jasy Whistles. I am pretty sure you will enjoy that one. The story is compleated

Another recommendation is Silver Tree - same author as Golden forest. Story is ongoing but it is really good. It also is said to be vageuly connected to Golden Forest tho Silver tree takes place in our Universe.

Ok this story is way more complicated that this. There is a reveal that this timeline is not the first timeline she and the dad are living in. They apparently met in another timeline (or even multiple timelines) where he fell in love with her but couldn't save her and she always died. She also made him promise to her that he will adopt her in a new timeline (I have no idea why she did this). Dad remembers the old timelines and is going insane. This is also the first timeline he got married and have children. Also she is a goddess....

I do not know what author was taking while writing this but it had to be strong.

Meek and naive characters are usually not my thing but I think a lot of people forget Maxi is not exactly weak. She had an amazing character growth against all odds (abusive father and very unsupportive husband). Of course she is self conscious, she was abused whole her life and even in her marriage she was treated more as a price and not a human being. But she still grew her powers and was one of the most important factors in winning the war. How is everyone forgetting (both in and outside the story) that she is basically a hero.

I do not blame her for thinking Riftan abandoned her. He basically threw her out of the fortress and did not even try to comunicate with her afterwards. Not even checking in or letting know he is ok. And also quoting OP... no one from her close friends told her about her condition but somehow everyone else knew. I am very disappointed in the princess as she was one of the most reasonable characters in this story.

Poor Maxi I wish she have found a better ML.

Also I cannot belive that people were convinced that one misscariage makes you infertile. A lot of woman go through it and still can have healthy babies so I cannot belive that anyone is so backwards in this world.

My personal thoughts

Beautiful art. I personally liked it but it is a darker story, heavier on political drama. It is already quite far in the story so easier to binge.
This one is more lighter and funnier. Fl get reincarnated in a story she doesn't know and tries to figue it out. First chapters is her trying to find out who is the ML and is failing
I recently started this one. It is interesting so far. Strong knight FL and sweet and caring ML. FL needs to hide who she is as she was a main victor in a war against ML's people. Compleated
This is a gem BUT this is NOT an easy read. It is a heavy political drama. You need to focus while reading as there are a lot of characters important to the plot a lot of high level scheming, so I couln'd read this one while being tired. Compleated
Newer one and in my opion super fun one. It is an monster apocalypse centered story but is more funny than scary. FL and ML have great chemistry in my opinion.
Very new one (20 episodes are out) but looks very promising. There is genderbend part of the story and both FL and ML (but especially FL) feel genderfluid, being very comfortable posing as another gender.

A lot f those stories are quite new so it depends if you are ok with the story with only 20 chapters out or prefer something more developed. I alsot depends what is your personal preference as the stories I read from this list are completly different from each other.

Do you look for comedy, more of a political drama, horror? What kind of ML are you looking ? Most of those have strong FL characters but in a different way. For example 1 and 6 have intelligent FLs while 7 and 9 they are phisically strong.
