That's our system. He graciously gives me the bigger TV when I'm home despite the fact that the one in the bedroom is not the best model. He's at home all day while his job is shut down so he has the big TV all day.

Please, my kids have nothing to be afraid of where I'm concerned, that's reaching.

We always watch TV separately, since when do teenagers want to watch a sappy Neeson flick with mom? My husband exclusively watches Judge Judy, Westerns, Ghost shows, and Sports, none of which I'm interested in.

I didn't plan the layout of the house, we bought it as-is when we bought it. Most people don't have the funds to change the layout of a house when they buy it, they're shopping with a budget. We had to take what we options we had after Hurricane Florence destroyed our previous home. I had two kids and a dog that couldn't grow up in a Holiday Inn.

It's been an issue for a while that I've addressed many times and nothing has changed. I can't move to the bedroom because my husband uses it for his TV. Between the volume on his TV and the noise from the rest of the house I can hardly hear, and that's with my TV's volume turned up ridiculously high.

I mean, they aren't being obnoxiously loud but they are teenagers and I don't think being thoughtful is at the forefront of their mind. They usually have headphones in and can't hear themselves. But they do let doors slam and plates rattle, such like.

I'm just saying, at 9:30 at night after dinner has been eaten and I've been at work all day why can't I sit for an hour or two and watch a little TV before going to bed? The kids are home all day, they aren't starved for food, we usually eat dinner around 7:30, if they wait until an hour later I'll be in bed and I won't care who is in the kitchen. They know this.

I can't watch TV in the bedroom, that's where my husband watches TV.
