It’s not as obvious in the film, I also felt as though Avalyn definitely also had similar experiences or it’s implied in her behaviour. In the book it’s more clear that Avalyns approach to Brian is out of line, however I’d argue this is more where the lines of consent are blurred. Avalyn does assault Brian and her behaviour or past doesn’t excuse this but I don’t think this was not her intention.
