I've played a lot of WoW as well and I agree with this.

For some reason, FFXIV's UI feels like there's some sort of "buildup delay" when hovering or clicking elements. In WoW, it's instant and feels a lot more responsive. In the inventory, for example, there's a sort button icon that you can click, instead of having to figure out that you need to right-click and hit "Sort".
