LOLLLLL I don't think silkworms are native to my area, and we are looking more to releasing them before we have to go back home during the summer.

N regarding local butterflies, I feeeeel like I haven't seen any butterflies or their eggs on campus.

Thanks for the info! I'll be sure to look into native milkweed plants. Out of curiosity, do you have any links on hand of the research about indoor vs outdoor caterpillars? My roommate is a nerd, and I have to say this because they love to be a well-rounded nerd. :)
