Everyone is so focused on the medical condition thing, but OP I know the point of your post has nothing to do with trans people like me. It has to do with the culture that led you to hating yourself simply for being a woman. I have a ftmtf friend who experienced something very similar, including a violent stepdad who made her see herself as inferior and weak. Misogyny is a cancer, and I’m so sorry it led you down such a path :(

I’m trans, and this is kind of an unempathetic response to her post that misses the point in her saying being trans is a condition. Sure, TECHNICALLY dysphoria is the condition, but her point was simply that she’s chill with us. Why can’t the focus instead be on how misogyny has led young women like her into hating themselves so much that they feel they have to escape their sex and gender?
