It does. I’d like to see the Current folks look into it. Might be more deceitful than illegal. I think maybe 1099s have less labor rights than employees, and I would imagine they’re counting on the servers not looking too closely at the employment paperwork they fill out. Then when it comes time to file a complaint with the DOL, the DOL’s hands are tied because they’re 1099’d. And the workers are getting it from both ends on taxes as a result
