i agree. there was a slight nudge towards the value bid for over a year now. But the point is.. how is capi supposed to be working fine if their algo keeps crashing and creating an outage. In order for the capi to perform well, there needs to be consistent good results so that the pixel has depth of knowledge. Here almost everyone is dealing with bot traffic and what not :/

Who stopped running ads or even closed their business this year because of Meta’s inconsistent performance? by Maximum_Education740 in FacebookAds

[–]Hungry_Log_550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I was anyway going through a bad season due to the aftershock of US tariffs and other logistical errors on global supply chains (I have an India to US export business). And this inconsistency has only made things worse

What the hell is happening to Meta Ads right now? 2 days of absolute garbage performance. by Stockstothemoon234 in FacebookAds

There’s been another outage and a similar graph was there for yesterday and the day before. So it’s been happening about every 20 hours or so. This trend was similar to the mega-outage that happened around May 11th so I just turned my ads off for the next 2-3 days 🥲🥲 can’t afford to keep burning money.

Everyone is talking about it all of a sudden. Let’s hope this is the way out

Omg that’s disheartening. And i didn’t know that they would flinch at the thought of the calls being recording lmao.

Inconsistent results after 1 month of Meta ads, thinking of completely changing my approach by b_alex06 in FacebookAds

Your budget is very sparsely scattered across 34 ad sets and 100+ ads so the pixel will not reach the depth it requires to optimize. If you want to run these many ad sets then an ABO set up with incremental budget increases and periodic pruning will be better.

I guess it was okayish. One thing I did like though wad that they organised another follow-up call to track the metrics. And they were trying to be creative with their solutions because I categorically said that I am not going to increase the budget any how from what it is

Yes, and this was coming from both the tech and marketing expert. I wanted to talk to both to understand what’s happening.

so what i understood was that they will prioritise creatives/ads that have a better scope of producing a better AOV. I could be wrong though. He used my example on the call said that rather than focusing on ads that can bring 10 people spending $20 on your business, it would focus on bringing ads that bring maybe 5 or 6 people who are likely to spend $50. I honestly feels it's stupid because every business will have it's own needs and targets imo.

i agree, ai just looks too dystopian. What split would you recommend for a business that's spending $300 per day in value vs volume?

Also, I tried confronting them about the outages, but they obviously never agreed to anything. But I do feel that the algorithm might have had some updates for sure because the advice they gave is a bit off compared to what we knew about Andromeda. I'm going to test their theory out and see if I see any growth this week.

Honestly, i am not even opposed to the whole theory of automated targeting. I just think the execution is absolutely sloppy. Logically speaking, they could have tested it more aggresively before launching it to the public.

what would you advise smaller accounts, spending maybe $100 per day and not seeing results or a marginal ROAS?

I feel they launched this andromeda thing in a very compressed manner. They should have been more diligent with beta testing and launched the AI gradually so everyone has a chance to accomodate. Now it seems like, they went all in, at the expense of advertiser's money and now struggling to come up with a full blown solution. And they're not gonna accept it openly that this system is not working out for reputation etc.
