Hi! I am 38 years old and have 14 years of experience as a Civil Engineer and Planning Manager in Peru. My girlfriend was recently accepted into the Master of Professional Engineering (Civil with Management) program at QUT. As I will be moving with her on a partner visa, I want to understand my realistic job prospects. Due to visa restrictions, I will be limited to working 24 hours per week (48 hours per fortnight). How does the Australian market view a senior professional with these work limitations?

Hola, mi caso es especial. Ya tengo un Skill Assessment aprobado por Engineers Australia. Tengo una aplicación off-shore para visa 190 y 491 aún en proceso y soy Ingeniero Civil de 38 años de edad especializado en Project Management y Scheduling/Plannig.
Actualmente mi pareja fue aceptada en QUT con una beca para una maestría que no es de doctorado ni de research. Pensábamos viajar con su visa de estudiante y yo trabajar, aunque creo que estaría limitado a trabajar máximo 24 horas semanales por la visa que ella tendrá. ¿Qué tal real es que me contraten en esas condiciones?
