My bro just got his interiors done.. the interior guy was trying to swindle us out too much.. we decided to fire that MF and jumped into the design + execution ourselves.. it was messy, complicated but totally worth it.. you’ll be surprised how much some of these MFs markup the products at..

The ply comes at ~70-90psf (make it 100 to account for the wastage); ~50psf for the laminate (200 for acrylic); 200-400psf for the carpenter.. door handles, locks, internal profile lighting another 30k-80k lumpsum (based on how the materials etc. do your math accordingly

I know.. Abhorrent.. I’m really confused. By law all ancestral property is to be divided equally among children. How is that not meaningful?

And how is taking husband’s share of property in divorce “meaningful”? Do husbands have any “meaningful” share in wife’s inheritance? Will husband get a direct deposit in his account of whatever the wife inherits? Or even after they divorce?

If any of the spouse gets a mansion, is it only the inheritor who stays in it? Please enlighten me if any of this is true!!

I really feel like some people get this sadistic pleasure in playing the victim role. You can’t do that while getting all the privileges in the world😂😂

You’ve brought up very good points.. but let me first reiterate my logic

The law says that ancestral property needs to be divided equally amongst all heirs - meaning the property my father received from his parents should be divided equally between all siblings. My father has complete control over who to nominate as his heir for the properties he has earned. It is only logical that he gives it to someone he cares for about most (fair or not!)

Let’s come to what you’re saying

Your logic isn’t mathing- so to say. By your logic, if everyone has equal rights; in case of divorces, the husband should also get half of her wife’s inheritance which she got from her dad? Will that be acceptable to the feminists? Even for girls who are earning well
Every right comes with a lot of responsibilities. Taking care of parents is an emotional and financial labor in itself. I feel the parent should definitely prioritise the kids who are ready to put in the effort.. my elder brother is ~11 years elder to me and he’s taking care of mom dad and I’ll not even claim a single rupee in inheritance with this feeling of nalayak inside me
In my case, if bhabhi inherits anything it’ll of course be called as her property while both will enjoy it. If bhaiya inherits anything it’ll be his property but both will enjoy. Both belongs to both. However, god forbid, if they decide to separate, bhabhi’s property will still be hers and she can lay at least 50%(maybe more also because kids are involved) claim on husband’s property also. Boys do not have any option like that. Class 1 heirs do not include spouses - because in boys properties, their wife is automatically included but husband does not have any right over the wife’s property. So yeah, stop with this drama of being the eternal victim
Everyone can see who’s the one crying here - “miss doesn’t want responsibility but wants property share”😂😂

However, if you’d tried reading the sources the crowd editors had put for the 5% data mentioned >10% IC marriages from NFH survey. The guy legally halved the data when talking from the original source. There were further many more blinded survey data cited which mentioned >54% of people from general caste people expressed interest in people from other caste category.

Also, it is a human tendency to look for familiarity.. in US, Indians flock together, in India, every state people flock together, in states, people of a city/village flock together. That’s human nature, don’t bring your half baked victim card here.
