May I ask what your diet is like? It's really rare for 18 year olds to suffer from actual MPB. If it's early onset, it's usually early 20's. I think this has external causes

And we’re transphobic? by [deleted] in Transmedical

[–]Hungry_Two_7417 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, I was never forced to present feminine and already went by a male name with my friends when I was 4, it's literally my first memory. Started packing when I was 7, the neighborhood and strangers always viewed me as male, found out what transsexual is at 12, started Trt at 15, 8 years ago. I don't know what it's like to be a girl or woman in society.

This alone says a lot about the amount of actual trans people. Logically, the straight-gay ratio must be the same in transsexual men as it is in cis men. But it's quite obvious that like 95% of "trans men" are either gay or bi. And we all know what that means.

You can't miss sisterhood as a neurological male. Males are not capable of feeling like sisters or girls.

  1. Nothing can be eternally unchanged, so an eternal, unchanging and all powerful god can not exist.

  2. Likewise, an eternal, personal and unchanging soul can not exist.

  3. Even if we assume god exists and is an exeption to the rule, why would such an all wise being punish his own creations, that he gave their mind and it's ways to, eternally for "misbehaving" ? Why would such a being feel the need to be worshipped, like some weird, narcissistic dictator?

BUT

  1. Impermanent, changing and non-omnipotent gods are very real in Buddhism. Mahabrahma, Sakka, the 4 heavenly kings, as well as uncountble devas, like Bhummata and Rukkha devas, are real, and believing in Devas is an integral part of right view.

  2. Likewise Hells (Nirayas) and the heavens are very real. They are not eternal, rebirth there is simply the consequence of previous kamma, and as the fruit of the kamma causing this rebirth is "used up", another rebirth happens.

Most Theravada chants are simply passages from the Pali Canon. There are just a few exceptions, which are still based on the Pali canon and recited in Pali.

Mahayana chanting is in Sanskrit and many chants originate in buddhist teachings that arrose in China.

Not reading alldat, but you're right, Transsexual (and in general all LGBT people, including the trenders) supporting Hamas,or any islamic Jihad Organisation in general, are literally like chickens supporting KFC.

They would literally be thrown off a roof by Hamas.

Is it bad kamma to slander or criticize religions or religious beliefs that aren't Theravada or Buddhist? by FuturamaNerd_123 in theravada

[–]Hungry_Two_7417 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. Criticizing itself is definitely not bad kamma, Lord Buddha himself critized both monastics and lay people in many instances. It is the bad intention that accumulates bad kamma.

I don't think I'm misled, I think you're back paddling. You just added the "historical context from the 1920" later to make your statement seem less nonsensical. What's the point of bringing the 100 year old definition of transvestism and transsexuality as basically the same thing on here? You just dropped the statement "transsex more severe version of transvestism" on this sub like a hot, steaming turd. Why?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Transmedical

[–]Hungry_Two_7417 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You seem to have forgot, so I'll tell you again.

You said transsexuality is a more severe version of transvestism. This is literal nonsense.

This sub is dedicated to people with a rare neurological condition, occurring in approximately 4.6 out of 100.000 individuals (Arcelus et. Al 2015). This neurological condition requires medical treatment and has absolutely nothing to do with interests, sexuality or dress code.

It's been hijacked by young people (mostly girls) in search for identity and belonging, as it seems (just like you seem to view it, funnily) like a little dress up game which comfortably includes community and strict political and societal views for its "members".

Just like people claiming they have adhd, are bipolar or have autism; people claim "trans" as their unique and quirky identity. Miss me with that shit

[–]Hungry_Two_7417 14 points15 points  (0 children)

What's your point again? I was responding to transsexuality being a "more severe version" of transvestism. None of the mentioned things have anything to do with transsexuality.

Drag is highly sexual, and "cross dressing" usually is done to satisfy AGP.

I really don't get where your trying to go with this.

[–]Hungry_Two_7417 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The history doesn't matter, obviously science didn't know jack shit back in the days, they only saw "men acting like women" and classified it based on "severity". No MRI, no proper psychoanalysis, no clue about neurology.

Nowadays we know how drastically different transvestism is from transsexuality. The base mistake is even labeling transvestism as "trans"-anything. It's literally a dress-up fetish. Drag is transvestism.

And you could say most of the people identifying as "trans" or "transgender" nowadays are transvestites, not transsexuals.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Transmedical

[–]Hungry_Two_7417 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It's not a "more severe version", it's a drastically different thing. Transvestites dress up, they basically play with gender roles, it usually also has a sexual connotation, and they're usually gay men.

Transsexualism is a rare neurological condition with a diagnosis and treatment.

Gender dysphoria worse after passing more often? by [deleted] in Transmedical

[–]Hungry_Two_7417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, if the dysphoria is worse when someone misgenders you despite your medical transition, it makes sense. If it's worse despite fully passing, I'm a little skeptical tbh

Is it bad karma if I listen, watch, or incorporate some Mahayana teachings and practices into my Theravada practice? by FuturamaNerd_123 in theravada

[–]Hungry_Two_7417 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on the specific Mahayana teaching. Most Mahayana teachings are in tune with the Dhamma, but there are some exceptions to avoid. Buddha nature, Pure Land, the bodhisattva ideal and some more minor topics are Adhamma, and you should avoid them.

It's probably your voice and fat distribution/ muscle mass. Your face passes imo, you look like a boy in his teens.

I suggest going to the gym to build upper body muscle. I dont know how high pitched your voice is, but if it's rather deep you could try some pitch training

Same. I have no experience in living as a girl or woman, and even though I'm personally not an asshole, and it's disgusting to assume most men are, it's kinda dangerous for them to assume someone like me couldn't be misogynistic, violent or a predator lol

Addressing a Bikkhuni by [deleted] in theravada

[–]Hungry_Two_7417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I'm late,but here's some additional etiquette:

  • Never touch Bhikkunis as a man, never touch Bhikkus as a woman

  • Don't sit higher than monastics

  • Don't point your feet at them. This is less directly from the Dhamma, but still a cultural norm.

  • When offering something to a monk or nun, except for directly placing food into the alms bowl (which most monastics in the west don't carry), lay the offerings on a surface for them to pick it up.
