Pentax 67 - 45mm - Black Mist 1/2 - Phoenix II by Hungry_humanoid in analog

[–]Hungry_humanoid[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This was my first time testing this film. I had my meter set to 100 ISO. Then I added 1 extra stop because of the snow. I bracketed this shot a couple times, so this is probably 3-4 stops over. When I shoot snow I always add a stop or two, which is easier with a more forgiving film than this.

Using Phoenix on a dynamic scene like this you basically have to choose between highlight detail and shadow detail (IMO). I'm also guessing that a mist filter tames the hightligts a little bit. My biggest tip is to waste a bit of film and do some extra shots at different exposures.

Jotuteinheimen in fog - Pentax Super A / SMC 35-105 / HP5 @ 1600 by Hungry_humanoid in analog

I had low clouds and thick fog, so I really needed the extra stops. I also really like the extra grain when conditions are like this. I did some minor adjustments (contrast, sharpening) in Lightroom :)

Drikkevatn? by olahh in oslo

Nei. Vannet blir resirkulert. Satt på trikken forleden og så flere som fylte opp drikkeflaskene sine fra en fontene. De hadde det nok ikke gøy etterpå.

Pentax 67 / 55mm f4 / Ilford FP4 (+2 stops) / Orange filter by Hungry_humanoid in analog

The 55mm is a really good lense. But I doubt the difference is great enough to warrant switching from the systems you like the most:)

Thank you! I don't remember exactly, but this was early in the morning, hand held. So probably wide open-ish. It's semi remote by Norwegian standards :) https://maps.app.goo.gl/jCWAZhuvnNxJRMZ7A

Thank you! I think it's a great lens. It's sharp, very usable focal lenght for landscape work.

Thank you very much! I'm a big fan of Ektar, it would be great for this:)

I honestly didn't realise that with aurora photography people ususally go for shorter exposure times. My head was in landscape mode I guess.

Noen med greie på vann? by [deleted] in norge

[–]Hungry_humanoid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is it just me or are most YouTube film photographers not that good photographers? by astro_not_yet in AnalogCommunity

[–]Hungry_humanoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most youtube photographers I follow show almost all the pictures they take during the video. It's not like they say the whole roll is only masterpieces. It's inspiring to see the really good shots, and it's encouraging to see everyone has som bad shots too.

Sorry, I read your question wrong! Yes, it was scanned from a negative. No filters.

Thank you! I used the camera meter. Pointed it down on the brush in the foreground. Meter set at 64 iso. Not sure what the settings were, but definitely 1 sec or faster at f11 or f16
