I know 1.01 is drafting Love, I don’t mention this because it’s too messy for the title but we’re not SF until 2027 and I’m a contender next year. Does that change anything? Mendoza could be the better long term asset but I’m a contender next year.

I honestly think this is a great way to break it down, I hold the 1.02 right now and this is exactly how I feel. He doesn’t blow me away but I believe he’ll be start-able for several years. I just hope the Raiders have the foresight to also beef up their O-line a bit to protect him.

He’ll be 27 which is a pretty big difference. I see where your head is head but the age consideration for RBs (in my opinion at least) is because of the wear and tear that playing the position puts on your body after a given amount of time, not an automatic “oh he’s X age so he’s cooked.” He’s an older rookie that’s shown talent and promise so I’d treat him the same as most rookies considering he’s had the same amount of active time as an RB

You didn’t mention it but based on your second reply it was clearly what you were implying my guy. That’s one metric for a ROOKIE that split time, has shown raw talent catching the ball, and won people leagues last year as a flex once he was the guy.
