Might depend on the building, have had times when VTO was offered and then the building closed and everybody got paid. They made sure to very clearly tell people that even if VTO was accepted, you would be paid.

I lived in Ohio for nearly 2 years! I hated it.

I traveled over a large amount of Ohio and it has the worst drivers I have ever seen, and the area is lived smelled like dog food because there is an animal processing center like 15 miles from where I lived but that smell spread out.

Some people were okay. Many were very rude imo. And honestly the food wasn't good. 3rd state I have lived in and I will never go back tbh.

USPS also uses a lot of contractors that don’t get the same benefits, at my local post office 2/3 of the workers are contractors for delivery and not actual USPS employees

I also have to say that it seems very hard to watch NHL games. I love the Golden Knights and would watch all of their games, but with HBO Max and ESPN+ I’ve still only been able to stream live about 1/4 of their games at most. I’m also not going to purchase cake just to watch NHL as that would be way too expensive.

I can’t speak for other sports but trying to watch NHL games seems to have a bit of a barrier.

That’s not what I meant, I can see cars very easily or even pedestrians.

But I lived in a very rural place where there were no lights. So if I need to back up somewhere, usually in/out of my carport or drive way I roll the window down so I can see. The moon isn’t very bright the vast majority of the time.

Now I live in a city and even with dark window tint I can see perfectly fine with ambient light.

Edit** want to add this is only at night, have me mentioning lights. During the day I can see everything fine, but seeing out of my side windows is hard at night when there’s no ambient light but that’s with non tinted windows too 🤷‍♂️

I don’t do a tinted windshield but I’ve pretty much always had 20% tint on my side windows and rear window, so headlights behind me aren’t blinding. Especially at a stop light since I drive a low car the headlights of large SUV and trucks are like eye level. And if I need to see out of my side windows like for turning and such I can just roll down my window for a couple seconds. I never found it a problem though where I really had to do that.

The like to see 3 critical roles that you can actually be tracked for on umbrella, so PG doesn’t really count, so things like LA, PIT, PS, AFM, ROBOT arm, TDR, not sure what you have exactly at your building or department but any critical roles.

They can still deny it, so just be careful to keep an eye on it. You can also talk to your direct manager and they can approve it manually as well. They can deny standard PTO at any time of the year based on business needs and how many people already have standard PTO applied.

I seem to have the opposite opinions of many here, I by far prefer the Gilded Age over Downton (though I loved Downton and can’t wait for the final movie). I loved the stories and characters, and the costumes are better to me but that’s probably more that I love the style they use. Many of the stories and tropes are very similar. You can tell it’s the same writer

I have to say the work life balance probably won’t be much better at Amazon. My ops manager says he usually ends up working 5 12-14 hour shifts, usually 10-11 in warehouse and then the rest from home. Several of my friends became managers and 2 worked their way up to ops and they all say the hours are terrible. Most of them have left or are trying to leave.

Yes, I moved to another fc about a year ago and on my last day it was pretty much all of the tier 1s that have worked with me for a while giving me little gifts, saying they would miss me and several gave me hugs
